We Have No Regrets Voting Against Buhari – Igbos

Jonathan-Buhari-ok
In the just concluded Presidential election that saw Gen Muhammadu Buhari emerge winner, it was noticed that President Jonathan got a lot of votes from the Igbos – An association known as Igbo Youth Movement, has defended their votes saying it has no regret voting against Buhari…

According to PUNCH:
Several analysts have faulted the manner in which the Igbo voted in the March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections, with many arguing that the South-East had lost relevance in national politics as a result of the outcome of the polls.
It is also being speculated that the South-East would be sidelined in the coming dispensation by the loss of a chance to produce the Senate President, following the ruling party’s impending relegation into a minority in the National Assembly.
But the Igbo Youth Movement, in a statement in Enugu, stressed that the Igbo voted according to their conviction and have no cause for regrets.
The IYM insisted that the voting pattern exhibited by the Igbo in the presidential and National Assembly polls was in line with their belief that the country should be restructured.
The President of the IYM, Elliot Uko, who issued the statement, condemned what he described as the “spate of abuses on the Igbo nation from some quarters regarding the election.”
Uko described the abuses as annoying and eye-opening.

Deiziani did not support APC - Bukola Saraki

Press statement from the office of Sen. Bukola Saraki
The attention of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki's media office has been drawn to an online article alleging that the controversial Minister of Petroleum. Ms Deiziani Allison Madueke who has been engulfed in series of questionable transactions made contribution to the All Progressives Congress through Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
This office usually will ignore such reports as we find it completely laughable, baseless and lacking any iota of truth. However, for the avoidance of any doubt and to keep with the renewed mandate of accountability and transparency, we find it necessary to assure the teaming Supporters of APC and Senator Saraki that at no time did Senator Bukola Saraki meet, discuss or had any dealings in any form or nature with Ms Deiziani or her agents.
Senator Saraki hereby challenges either the Minister, her agent, associates or any other person that might have any evidence or information contrary to the above to share same with Nigerians.

The last time Senator Saraki met with Ms Deiziani was in year 2012 when the Minister, her mother and her sister visited the Sarakis' on a condolence visit over the death of Dr. Olusola Saraki, the father of Senator Saraki.

The alleged publication is total falsehood and completely mischievous therefore, this story can not fly or sell, rather, the promoter should find something else to cling on as they remain with a drowning party.

The credit of the success of General Buhari, and our dear party APC across the country can only be claimed by Nigerians in every nook and cranny of the federation who sacrificed their resources, time and energy to bring about the change this country deserves and that should not be tainted by any individual or group of people who stood as stumbling block to every step taken towards achieving this noble and worthy struggle.

20 die from Cholera outbreak in Ebonyi state

20 people have been confirmed dead from a Cholera outbreak in Ebonyi state. The state Director, Public Health and Disease Control, in the Ministry of Health, Dr Chris Achi, who made this known to newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state, said seven local government areas namely Ohaukwu, Izzi, Ezza North, Ishielu, Ebonyi, Abakaliki and Ohaozara have recorded the highest number of cases.

Dr Ashi said one student of the Ebonyi State University has died from the epidemic while 9 of them are in the hospital after contracting the disease.

15 students of the Girls High School, Azuinyiokwu were also affected by the disease and were rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, where they were treated and discharged.

Dr Ashi said the outbreak of the disease was largely due to the villagers in the communities fetching and using water from a dirty pond after their community boreholes stopped working...
"Some of the community members have boreholes and when some of the boreholes breakdown, the people, rather than repair it, resort to pond water. Hawkers will display Suya along the road and flies perch on them and people patronize them without considering the health implication. In Abakaliki, most houses do not have toilet facilities and people defecate around the houses. This leads to disease outbreak because the same flies that perch on the faeces also perch on foods”. he said

The nanny, who abducted three children in the Surulere area of Lagos State on April 7 was not alone in the criminal act, as it has been found out that her husband, Waheed Kareem was the mastermind behind the kidnap and other deal they have been involved in.

According to the nanny, whose real name is Funmilayo Adeyemi, 35, from Osun State confessed that her entire family members were involved in the act – As, they had previously kidnapped two kids- Rapheal and Michael, in the Magodo area of Lagos State, before this before this Orekoya kidnap.
She was caught and paraded at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja, and confessed that the Orekoya’s paid a ransom of N2m, adding that her husband gave her N30,000 out of the proceed.
According to her, she got the nanny’s job through her brother-in-law and his wife, who were always online to track posts.
“On Wednesday, their father and mother went to work. I put the little one on my back, while I held the others by the hands, telling them that I wanted to buy them something. We boarded a vehicle to Ojuelegba and from there, I took another bus to Iyana Ipaja and contacted my husband.
“I took them home, where they stayed with me in one of the rooms. I bought cereal for the 11-months-old baby; he was always fed with pap at his mother’s place. I gave the others normal food. They always watch cartoon on the television; they never missed home.
“My husband told me that he wanted to collect a token from the parents, but the following day, I found out that the kidnappers demanded N15m.
“I challenged my husband for asking for such a big sum. He said I should shut up because I had already fulfilled my part and that it was time for them to do theirs. Later, I heard in the news that he had reduced it to N13m.”
Adeyemi, who felt nothing after kidnapping the kids until she saw the mother of the victim’s wept on a national television, said her brother-in-law, Hakeem Kareem; her husband, Waheed Kareem; her sister-in-law, Ajoke Oseni, were involved in the Orekoya kidnap.

Na wa o – Now, she cooling her heels in cell, and where is her mastermind husband now? – a lesson for those weak willed women out there or what do you think???

MC Galaxy attacked at Shizzi's studio by Davido and his driver

An incident happened 2 days that a few industry people have called my attention to and want it public so it will not repeat itself. Sekem crooner MC Galaxy was attacked and badly injured on Wednesday night April 15th at producer Shizzi's studio in Lekki. According to a reliable industry source, MC Galaxy, Davido (they have collaborated before) B-Red, Shizzi, Davido's driver, a guy named Lati and other HKN members were at Shizzi's studio working and laughing when suddenly things turned ugly.

According to someone who witnessed the beat down, trouble started after MC Galaxy told B-Red that he (Galaxy) was more popular than him (B-Red). B-Red didn't agree and they went back and forth. Then an HKN Gang member, who is a Ghanaian artist, told MC Galaxy that he was not funny as a comedian. MC Galaxy replied, telling him that he was an unknown artist, and they went back and forth yabbing each other. They said all of a sudden Davido came out from the studio and asked MC Galaxy to leave. Continue...

"David didn't like that Galaxy was yabbing his boys and asked him to leave. Before Galaxy could react, David hit him on the back. Then his driver, Lati, took over, punching Galaxy and then hit him on the head with an Orijin bottle. B-Red didn't touch Galaxy and Shizzi was very upset about what was happening in his studio and tried to stop the fight. Shizzi was really upset that Galaxy was attacked. If you see MC Galaxy's eyes now"
I contacted MC Galaxy to confirm he was attacked and he confirmed it but didn't want to talk much about the incident.
"Yes, I was attacked by Davido, his driver also broke a bottle on my head. Davido is someone I love and I am surprised he did this. His manager Kamal has called to apologize to me but I would rather not have this in the public." he told LIB
