Chinese men are approaching me for marriage – Comedienne Princess

In a recent interview with Yes! magazine, comedienne Damilola Adekoya popularly known as Princess said she’s been getting a lot of marriage proposals from men since her marriage collapsed. She said some of these men asking for her hand in marriage are even Chinese.

“Plenty people have been coming from all over the world since the first day my marriage broke up. Even Chinese men too. I don’t know. I don’t understand because it is like they googled and watched my videos and a lot of them have also read about my marriage break up and they will tell me that they had wanted to marry me o! It’s so surprising that even someone who is a Chinese and couldn’t speak fluent English fluently would tell me he has interest but I always ask myself where I would start from.

A lot of people from all over the world  I just appreciate them and thank them for asking me out but I made them understand that I want to face my work for now and improve on my art and become a better professional in my chosen field and like I said, wait for what God has in stock for me but for now, I’m not thinking about marriage”she said.

Hmmm, we are happy for her.

New Research Says Chewing on Ice Better Than s*x For Some People

In a latest study published in Medical Hypotheses, researchers asked both anemic  and healthy participants to consume either a cup of ice or a glass of lukewarm water before taking a 22-minute test designed to help diagnose ADHD. The researchers found that iron-deficient subjects who drank the water actually performed “far more sluggishly” than healthy subjects, but those who crunched on ice did as well as the controls. Newser reports more:

As the Post explains, pagophagia is a type of pica, a disorder that makes people crave and eat nonfoods (like dirt and clay, which the Learning Channel has turned into reality TV shows). Study author Melissa Hunt says this cognitive boost may be related to the “mammalian diving reflex,” a trigger that causes blood-flow to the brain when a vertebrate is exposed to cold water.

“We think it has to be the case that ice is triggering some response that is getting more blood—and more oxygen—to the brain,” she tellsPenn Current.

At least two hematologists say the study has possible flaws—having iron deficiency doesn’t necessarily mean you have anemia, for example—but at least one admits he can’t discount the power ice holds over his patients: “I had one patient tell me: ‘I love ice. It’s better than s*x,'” he says.

Drama as Nigerian top Star 2 face Idibia's mother almost STONE to death by an angry youth

Looks like the Idibias got more that they envisaged when they went to their hometown to burial their father, who died recently of Prostrate cancer. The bone of contention was that the Amafu community in Okpokwu LGA of Benue State were unhappy with Tuface and his siblings for refusing to complete his house in the village – It was learnt that the battle started shortly after Tuface’s father died, and the family invited the four children to inform them of what to do.

According to dailypost, Tuface’s mum, Mrs. Rose Idibia narrowly escaped death on Thursday night after she was attacked by her husband’s kinsmen for not allowing Tuface to complete his house in the village.
The villagers, asked the superstar, to build a befitting house where his father would be laid to rest, since he is the star among them.
Well, Tuface, however made a promise, which he kept, as he sent in some money for the building project and upgrading of the road which leads to it, which made everyone happy as even farmers had no problem uprooting their crops on the road path.
Well according to Dailypost, trouble started when the projects suddenly stopped, leaving the people, including Tuface’s uncles in the dark – And when Tuface was contacted, he told them he no longer had money to continue the project and that he would continue after his father’s burial.
And this got his kinsmen really pissed as they vowed no burial would hold – And it was found out that it his mum, Rose that allegedly stopped him from completing the project.
And this sparked the anger of the people including farmers whose plants were wasted in the name of the road construction – as angry villagers were seen throwing stones and sticks at her, calling her all sort of names depicting a wicked person.
The protest lasted for hours before it was brought under control by elders in the village, meanwhile, Tuface stayed glued inside his car with two of his kids, Isabella and Olivia, with security men fully on guard as the youths vowed to beat him up for listening to his mum.
While explaining her side of the story, Tuface’s mom said;

“Is it not wickedness that you would call on someone who is mourning his father to come and start a building project? When my husband died, they informed my son to come and build ten bed room flat. He accepted and promised to do so, with the hope that a hug amount of money was coming his way. The building project started almost immediately but stopped along the line because of finance. So, when they called to complain that money was no longer coming, I called Tuface and he said because of the Ebola issue, the money he was expecting could not come, that they should hold on till after the burial. But his uncles refused, insisting that the burial would not hold until Tuface completed the house.
“When we finally came home with the corpse on Thursday, they began to boo me. Some wanted to kill me by throwing stones and sticks at me, that I stopped Tuface my son from building in his village”

Pa. Idibia was finally laid to rest but the community is insisting that Tuface must complete the building or he would remain in the village.
And when DailyPost contacted Tuface’s manager, Efe Omoregbe, he said;

“Bros, I don’t know what you are talking about”.

Jonathan Declares: We Will Defeat Terrorism – President Jonathan

President Jonathan, yesterday at the Eagle’s Square Abuja, formally declared his intention to run for president in 2015. During the declaration, the President made series of promises but was reminded by the PDP Governors’ Forum that the road to the February 14 poll would be rough.

According to him, after seeking the face of God, in quiet reflection with my family and having listened to the call of our people nationwide to run, I, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, have accepted to re-present myself, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party for re-election as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2015 general elections.”
The President promised not to victimise anybody who criticised him and his administration, and also admitted that corruption remained a stain on his administration but promised to eradicate the menace in all sectors of the economy.

“Let me reaffirm that under the Jonathan Presidency, your views, no matter how freely expressed, will not send you to prison or to exile.
“I am convinced that I have served my part with Nigerians and it’s now time to look into the future. With your tremendous support, we have collectively done so much in the last three and a half years.. But to take our country to the next level, there is still more work to be done.
“History has shown that the path of honour of a true leader is not to walk away from his people in the face of challenges.. We must stand together in adversary and overcome the threat to our development. We must defend our future.”

Also at the declaration, Jonathan, called for a one-minute silence in honour of the schoolchildren and teachers at the Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum, Yobe State, who died in a suicide bomb attack, insisting that his administration would win the war against terrorism .

“We will surely get our daughters freed, we will defeat terror. I will do everything humanly possible to end these killings,”

Jonathan, however did not say, if Vice-President Namadi Sambo would remain his running mate for the election, but held and raised Sambo’s hand while acknowledging cheers from the crowd before delivering his speech.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Mr. Godswill Akpabio, said;

“ Mr. President, we know that the route to 2015 is not going to be very smooth but we are assuring you that at the end of the tunnel, victory will be yours and the PDP.
“We were robbed of three states, but the entry of Ekiti and Ondo states have increased our number. We may end up with about 30 states.”

Hmm!!! So much promises – Being a Nigerian and having lived in Nigeria under Jonathan’s tenure, do you think he did well in his first tenure????

Deliverance Things!!! Pastor Rapes and Impregnates 11year Old Girl

Some of these pastor just enjoy to be in the media for the most despicable act, anyways, that’s how this 32-year-old pastor has been alleged to have raped and impregnated an 11-year-old girl in Lagos State.

The pastor, whose church is located at Odunbaku Street in Iju Ishaga, has been arraigned at a Senior Magistrates’ Court, Abule Egba, Lagos State,
According to reports, the pastor allegedly told the victim’s mother that there is an arrow of death in her house and must move out to avoid death – And to avert the said situation, the mother, moved into the church with her children, Vanguard reports.
The bubble burst, when the woman noticed some strange behaviour by her daughter who complained of stomach pain and showed signs of malaria, and called a nurse treated her for malaria, but the sickness continued until she underwent a scan which revealed that she was pregnant.
According to the two months old pregnant girl, the pastor gave her ‘holy water’ to drink and also gave her a red substance to rub on her face, and she became unconscious only for her to see the pastor on her.
And she could not scream, because he used his hand to cover her mouth before sleeping with her, and told her she would die if she told anyone.
The pastor pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge and the presiding magistrate, Mr. T. A. Elias, ordered him remanded in prison custody, pending the advice of Directorate of Public Prosecution and adjourned the case to January 2015.

Cheating Wife Caught Red Handed by Husband’s Best Friend

Another fallen hero: Lt Mayowa Areago shot dead by Boko Haram

A young Nigerian army officer Lt Mayowa Areago, (pictured above) was shot dead three days ago while retreating from a mission to fight the Boko Haram in Borno state. According to his friends who sent in his photos, he graduated from Nigerian Defence Academy in 2012 and was immediately posted to the North to help in the fight against Boko Haram.

CAF drops Morocco as host of 2015 African Cup of Nations, throws out Morrocan team

The Confederation of African Football CAF today dropped Morocco as host of the 2015 African Cup of Nations which is billed to start from Jan 17th-Feb 9th 2015. At an executive committee meeting which held this morning in Cairo Egypt, CAF's leadership said the decision to drop Morocco was as a result of the Moroccan authority's request to postpone the competition due to Ebola fears.

CAF leadership says they cannot postpone the competition and have withdrawn the rights of Morroco to host it. The Morrocan national team was also flung out of the competition. Find the statement from CAF as posted on their website after the cut...
