Gunmen free abducted Channels TV crew, other Journalists in Delta

Gunmen have freed Channels TV energy correspondent, Olu Philips, one of the station's cameraman, Polynus Odedeyi and 13 other journalists that they kidnapped in the Niger Delta creek over the weekend. Story below from Channels TV
"Channels Television’s energy correspondent, Olu Philips and cameraman, Polynus Odedeyi said they were returning from an official assignment when they were abducted. They had gone to cover an event at the Ogedengbe Gas Plant in Warri, Delta State.
President Goodluck Jonathan was earlier expected to commission the $16 billion export processing zone project, but the event was called-off.
In a telephone interview, Philips (pictured above) spoke from the Naval base in Warri, Delta State, recounting their experience in the hands of the kidnappers.
He said that the crew had boarded a boat on their way back to town after covering an event when they were accosted by the kidnappers off the creeks of Gbaramatu in an area called Escravos, in Delta State’s riverine area.
“Around 11:00am, we saw another speed boat coming behind us. They were about six boats. They caught up with us, asked us to stop and surrounded us.
“They had guns with them and they asked us where we were coming from and we told them we went there to cover an event. They said we were spies and they collected our camera and put it in another boat, after hitting the camera man.
“They made some calls and decided to take us to Gbaramatu. They took us to a High Chief popularly known as Tompolo.
“They beat up some other persons that were not journalists. After beating them, they handed them a rifle with three magazine and asked us to stand behind them that we were criminals and that they saw the rifle and pistols with us. They took photographs of us and were posting it on the internet that we were all criminals, Philips said.
According to him, the abductors made several threats that they will kill and throw them into the river.
He further said that they were held hostage till about 6-7pm before some Naval officials arrived and they were handed over to them.

'No African man has one woman' - KSA's wife, Queen Anheva says

American-born queen Ahneva Adeniyi Adegeye, one of the wives of King Sunny Ade, they've been married for 30 years - in a recent interview with Encomium mag says no man has one woman.
"Once you see any man, you see polygamy. No African man has one wife. I don't care if he's an indigenous African American or African Caribbean, it's in their nature to spread love across and to have more than one woman they love. Polygamy only puts a stamp on it to make legal. Most men have a wife, a mistress and a concubine. So, in a way, polygamy is every where in Africa and all over the world."

Sex with more than 20 women helps reduce prostate cancer: study

A new research claims that a man who has had sex with more than 20 women in his lifetime is less likely to have prostate cancer. Is this kind of study that causes men to be d**king around *hiss* lol

"Men who have sex with more than 20 women during the course of their lifetimes are less likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer, new research shows.
But for homosexuals who have had sex with at least 20 men and virgins, the risk of being diagnosed is doubled, the researchers from the University of Montreal have found.
Compared with men who have had just one sexual partner, men who have slept with 20 or more women have a 28 per cent lower risk of being diagnosed, and are 19 per cent less likely to develop the most aggressive form of prostate cancer.
However, the researchers found that homosexual men who have had at least 20 sexual partners, were twice as likely to to develop prostate cancer compared with those in monogamous relationships.
Homosexual men were also five times more likely to develop a less serious form of the disease than those with only one male partner.
The "highly speculative" hypothesis to explain this increased risk for homosexual men is that there is a heightened risk of picking up a sexually transmitted disease and "physical trauma" to the prostate from anal intercourse.
Between 2005 and 2009, 3208 men participated in the Prostate Cancer & Environment Study and were asked to give information about their lifestyles and sexual experiences.
In this time frame, 1590 men who participated in the study were diagnosed with prostate cancer..
The research, published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, is the first of its kind to make a link between the number of sexual partners and the risk of developing cancer.
Lead researcher Marie-Elise Parent said that, despite the results, she did not see a need for public health authorities to encourage men to have sex with as many women as possible.
"It is possible that having many female sexual partners results in a higher frequency of ejaculations, whose protective effect against prostate cancer has been previously observed in cohort studies," Dr Parent said
The research found that men who had never had sexual intercourse, were twice as likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Prior studies have indicated sexual intercourse might help reduce the risk of prostate cancer because it lowers the concentration of carcinogenic crystal-like substances in the fluid of the prostate.
"We were fortunate to have participants from Montreal who were comfortable talking about their sexuality, no matter what sexual experiences they have had, and this openness would probably not have been the same 20 or 30 years ago," Dr Parent said.
"Indeed, thanks to them, we now know that the number and type of partners must be taken into account to better understand the causes of prostate cancer."

Dear LIB readers; I cheated on my husband and I feel great about it

From a female LIB reader
This past weekend, I did something I thought I was never capable of doing. I had sex with another man who wasn't my husband. Yes, you read right. The best part about it is that I feel great *dancing*. I thought I'd hate myself for doing it. But I don't. I thought I'd regret it. But I don't. I thought I'd feel some guilt. But I don't. In fact I can't wait to meet my lover again. Once again - *dancing*.
I love my husband, don't get it twisted. He's the father of my four children. We have been together for 23 years. But you see, he was never a faithful man. Not from the first day. He cheated when we dated. He cheated when we got married. In fact, he has another baby by another woman. A love child he had while we were married. I stayed. I never cheated. He slept with a friend. I stayed, I never cheated. He slept with 6 of his female staff, I stayed I never cheated. He slept with so many random women, I stayed, I never cheated. He even slept with our neighbour, I stayed, I never cheated. Then he said something
You see, I saw a text on his phone which he sent to one of his lovers. The lady had apparently had an abortion for him and she was threatening to contact me to tell me about their affair and guess what my husband told her?
'even if my wife catches me on top of you on our marital bed, she will ask us to continue, go into the kitchen make my dinner and still make love to me that same night on that same bed so please feel free to contact her. She's not going anywhere"
You see, he's wrong! His cheating affects me. For 23 years I have had to endure his constant philandering. My husband is rich so the women are plenty. I have cried, I have pleaded, I have threatened but it never stopped. And he thinks I'm okay with it. He thinks I am not going anywhere. Oh but he's wrong. I am going somewhere alright. To another man's bed.

I'm stuck with this man, 23 years and four children. And I love him with my life. But I'm done being the wife he thinks will catch him on our marital bed and give him a standing ovation. He wants to cheat? Well, two can play that game. After 23 years, I try now? I feel so liberated. I can't wait to meet my lover this weekend again. The last time was amazing. He's a great lover. *dancing*
