Robbers Steal 'Ebola Blood' in Guinea as officials Plead for their safe return

Armed robbers in Guinea have stolen a batch of blood samples infected with Ebola virus as they were  in transit for delivery to a test centre.

The robbers held up a minibus near the town of Kissidougou which was transporting the samples.According to AP, the blood was stored in a sealed container and was being escorted by four Red Cross officials.

Guinea authorities publicly appealed on national radio to the unidentified robbers to hand over the stolen samples that are understood to have been taken from a single person. 

Guinea Red Cross press officer Faya Etienne Tolno explained that the Guinea Red Cross did not have its own vehicles for transport, which explains why a taxi was commissioned.

'We don't understand why they stole the blood sample. Perhaps they thought there was cash hidden in the flask,'

Dr. Barry Moumie, who heads patient care for the national Ebola response coordination committee, told The Associated Press:

 'We have informed the security services. If these thieves handle this blood, it will be dangerous.'I can assure you, however, that the sample-transportation procedures will now be strengthened to avoid such disappointments,'

T.B Joshua asks court to stop coroner inquest investigating his church building collapse

The founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua yesterday asked the Lagos state High Court in Ikeja to stop proceedings of the coroner inquest set up by the Lagos state govt to look into the circumstances that led to his church's building collapse on Sept. 12th which killed 116.

T.B Joshua, who filed the appeal through his counsel, Olalekan, Ojo, also asked the court to declare that his invitation to appear as a witness before the coroner was a breach of his right to fair hearing, as no case had been established against him before the coroner. 

T.B Joshua who was supposed to appear before the coroner yesterday, through his counsel, asked the coroner to suspend proceedings pending the outcome of the case he just filed against it which is to be called up for hearing on December 3rd.

The coroner, Magistrate O.A. Komolafe however declined his request saying no one had served him court document to that effect.

Below is a report I just received from a student from the school. Read below...

A student of Computer Science Department of University of Calabar name withheld almost lost his sight after a lecturer known as Chris Otu in the Department of Economics, University of Calabar stabbed him with his-car key during lecture hour.

According to an eye-withness Mr Otu was supposed to have a class with year 3 students of Computer Science Department by 10.am, today 21 Nov. but he failed to appear after keeping the students waiting for two hours, he later appeared by 12-noon.

After the lecturer's arrival, the waiting students assembled themselves at the lecture venue New CES building room 7 behind Unical Library.

The victimized student who is the lecturer's class rep. took white board markers to the lecturer (Mr. Otu) which is a regular routine in various Universities in Nigeria. But the lecturer for no reason premeditatedly used a book in his hand to hit the student on his head and as if that was not enough, he stabbed him with his car key and walked him out of the class.

The injury was bleeding profusely when the lecturer who felt zero remorse told the injured student and other students in the class to go and ask around who he is.

Mr Chris Otu who lost one of his eyes during a battle is believed to be an ex-cultist and because this is Nigeria, he claims nothing can be done to him.

Now, they decided to take the case to the media. Hope the university authority will look into this...

FFK calls Governor Amaechi pot bellied, house boy, monkey and cultist

In a post titled The Pot-bellied Creek Haramite And His Direct Threat, which he posted on Facebook, former Aviation minister Femi Fani Kayode slammed River State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, calling him a cultist, house boy and monkey. These our leaders have no chill sha..lol. What he wrote below..

''If the PDP rig the election in 2015 we will not go to court and we will make the country ungovernable. We will form a parallel government and there will be anarchy''- Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

It is time for the President to take off the kid gloves and put this pot-bellied little monkey in his place. Once a houseboy, always a houseboy. Once a cult member always a cult member. Once a peasant, always a peasant.

But why are our leaders saying stuff like this? That there will be anarchy in this country? Continue...

If Rotimi and his Haramite friends are looking for trouble then we should give it to them in full measure. It would be a pleasure. Anytime a cockroach shows it's head it ought to be crushed.

Treason is a very serious business and the brazen attempt to incite others to destroy our country, make it ungovernable and kill our people is even more serious. Have they and their Haramite army and secret military wing not killed enough people already in the last 3 years?

Whichever way they wish to play it and whatever they want to do we are ready for them this time. It will not be a one way slaughter anymore. If they kill our people after they lose in 2015 there will be swift, decisive and severe consequences.

Let this young man Rotimi and those that are using him prepare himself for the consequences of their madness. In 2010 they told the world that they would make Nigeria ''ungovernable'' if they lost the 2011 election and since then Nigeria has not known peace. Now they are saying it again. This time around our reaction will not be passive.

The only way you can fight madness is with an equal measure of madness. The only way you can defeat a bully is by mustering the resolve to face him down. The only way you can defeat a terrorist who delights in shedding blood is to visit him with a much higher level of violence and terror.

They will not kill our people and get away with it anymore. From now on it will be blood for blood. It will be an eye for an eye and it will be a tooth for a tooth. May God help us all.

We Scaled the Gate of the National Assembly to Save Our Democracy – Hon. Gbajabiamila

The next time you see House of Representatives Minority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, don’t forget to thank him profusely, as the Honourable has said, he scaled the gate of National Assembly during the commotion on Thursday, so our democracy would be SAVED.

In a statement signed by his research and media assistant, Wasiu Olanrewaju-Smart, Gbajabiamila had this to say:

“What happened in the National Assembly yesterday will forever live in infamy. I never thought I would see the day when I would be forced to go over the assembly gates where I work to gain access into the chambers. But then our democracy has to be saved.”
“It was pretty clear the presidency in spite of a court injunction wanted to do something sinister and illegal.

“They perfected the plot to stop the Speaker and the opposition leader from gaining entry. My members were already in chambers waiting for me to come in so as to provide leadership and direction. Most of them had gone over the gate too. I had to do the needful to save our democracy. We thank God we foiled their evil machinations. We will continue to be vigilant”.

So they scaled the gate for our democracy uh???

Dear LIB readers: My wife opens her breast in public to feed our baby and it annoys me

My wife and I just had our first child together and as is expected, she must have to breastfeed the baby but the annoying thing is that she brings out her breast to breastfeed him anywhere he cries for food and she doesn't even do it with any shame. Last Sunday my boss came visiting with his sons to greet our baby and as we were in my parlor talking, our son cried and immediately my wife just brought out her whole breast. Even my MD was embarrassed. I have told her repeatedly but she says what should she do? Shay she would not breastfeed her child again and that I am just "forming" unnecessarily. Abeg am I forming or is it normal for me to be angry?

Emmanuel Adebayor Evicts Mother from his House Over Witchcraft Allegations

Football star, Emmanuel Adebayor according to recent reports has evicted his mother from his house, and according to the Tottenham striker, his mother and other relatives have been plotting ‘juju’ (witchcraft) against him to end his career.

In an interview with Ghana’s Peace FM, Maggie, Adebayor’s Cousin said Adebayor sent his mother packing from his house, and has been very cruel to relative:

“For the past six years Adebayor has rejected his mother and his immediate family whilst doing charity outside on the premise that our mother is a witch,We have been thinking of his future as a footballer and did not want this issue out in the media but it is becoming too much. As at now, our mother is selling polythene bags, padlocks and other things on the border (Ghana/Togo frontier). Our mother has not seen him for more than a year and he rejects her calls anytime our mother is not calling him for his money; she just wants to see him because she loves him very much.

Could you believe Adebayor ordered his macho men to sack our mother and his own mother from a house he built in Togo claiming she is a witch?

As we speak our mother lives in an apartment rented by our junior brother, Kola Adebayor, who currently lives in Germany. My mother weeps bitterly about the issue every day. Anytime his mother or any of us (his close relatives) call and he realizes, he will quickly cut the call. “I personally supervised the building of his house in Trassaco and he gave us an apartment in the house. But all of a sudden he changed his attitude towards us, one afternoon his macho men came to drive us away from the house.”

However, Adebayor has denied the allegations but said that:

“Obviously I’m not a pastor, I am a footballer so I cannot point out a witch. I never sacked my mum from the house; she decided to leave the house…But how am I going to be in touch with my mum if my mum is the one telling everyone that my work will not go forward, so I will just be on my side and do my thing. They should stop talking, they should stop doing Juju on me; they should leave me alone…The one talking there and calling herself my sister I bought a house in East Legon for $1.2m…can you imagine that sister went to rent the house without my knowledge?”

Hmm!!! Juju and witchcraft na wa o, but how did he come to that rash conclusion?

Newly married Blessing Okagbare,  in a recent interview with New Telegraph, made it clear, she’s not ready to start a family, as she has more important goals to accomplish :

“A family, hahaha, I am not planning about that now. At the moment I have goals that must be accomplished and some things to be achieved professionally, so starting a family immediately after my wedding is actually not in the schedule for me right now, no way. Anyways, trouble started when the lesbian woman, phoned her friend – who had a boyfriend – in July this year because she wanted to talk about problems in her relationship, and the friends, first went to a nearby pub, before they went to her house.
The victim went to use the bathroom, but soon noticed the front door had been locked from the inside and the key was missing, and when she told Hearsum she had to go home, Hearsum replied that she was ‘not going anywhere’.
‘She repeatedly asked the victim to stay the night and go to bed with her. Her repeated invitations were declined, she took all her clothes off and asked the lady for a kiss. This was again declined and Hearsum decided to strangle the victim after punching her around the head, Dailymail reports.
