Hahaha! North Korea Loses it's Internet after threats to bomb the 'White House'

North Korea's link to the internet broke on  Monday. This came a day after they threatened to bomb the white house over the movie "The Interview"According to NY Times
A Strange thing happened to North Korea’s already tenuous link to the Internet on Monday: It broke.
While perhaps a coincidence, the failure of the country’s computer connections began only hours after President Obama declared Friday that the United States would launch a “proportional response” to what he termed an act of “cybervandalism” against Sony Pictures.
Over the weekend, as North Korean officials demanded a “joint investigation” into the Sony attacks and denied culpability — an assertion the United States rejected — Internet service began to get wobbly. By early Monday, the Internet went as dark as one of those satellite photographs showing the impoverished country by night.
Experts who monitor the health of the global Internet called it one of the worst North Korean network failures in years. But American officials who had described over the weekend how they were intensely focused on the country’s telecommunications connections through China — and how they had asked the Chinese government for help in cutting off the North’s ability to send malicious code around the world — declined to discuss what befell those connections.
Doug Madory, the director of Internet analysis at Dyn Research, an Internet performance management company, said that North Korean Internet access first became unstable late on Friday. The situation worsened over the weekend, and by Monday, North Korea’s Internet was completely offline.
“Their networks are under duress,”“This is consistent with a DDoS attack on their routers,” he said, referring to a distributed denial of service attack, in which attackers flood a network with traffic until it collapses under the load.

Did you know? Jonathan, Sambo to spend N4b on food, travels

I thought Nigerian leaders should be on austerity measure? If true, this is really mind-boggling:
President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo will spend over N4billion on food and travels in 2015, according to the details of the budget proposal submitted to the National Assembly by the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

The presidency has a total budgetary allocation of N26.6 billion (N12.9b for personnel, N11. 1 billion for overhead and N2.5 billion capital development fund) for 2015.

Specifically, President Jonathan will spend N1.9 billion on travels and transport, while others under the President’s office will spend N1.3 billion on local travels and transport, and another N621,067,913 on travels and transport, internationally.

According to Daily Trust, Vice President Namadi Sambo will spend a total on N42.4million on travels and transport, while others under his office will gulp N19.6 million for local travels and transport and N10.7 million for international travel and transport. Local travel and transport (training) will also gulp another N12m.

President Jonathan will also spend N517.8 million on miscellaneous, N456 million on honorarium and sitting allowance and N60.8 million on publicity and advertisements; while Sambo will spend N117 million on miscellaneous, N15 million on honorarium and sitting allowance, as well as N35 million on publicity and advertisements.

Also according to the proposal obtained by Daily Trust in Abuja, both the president and his deputy have been allocated a combined sum of N1.2 billion to be spent on food stuffs and kitchen items.
Another sum of N310 million will go for purchase of drugs and other medical and laboratory equipment.

Other expenses include the sum of N13.5 million on the feeding of wild life at the State House zoo.
The presidential air fleet has a total budget allocation of N5.3 billion with only N36.1 million as salaries while the remaining sums will be spent on overheads and capital expenditure.

The office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) was allocated the sum of N84.1 billion out of which N20 billion is for capital expenditure, N64.1 billion for recurrent. Of the N64.1 billion only a party sum of N268.4 million is for salaries.

According to the NSA’s budget details, N1.3 billion is to be spent on security services, N15 million on fueling of generators, N20.8 million on food, and N11.1 million on local travel.

Daily Trust reports that the Federal Government had, due to dwindling prices of oil, proposed a budget of N4.3trillion. Capital expenditure was cut to N633.53 billion as against N1.552 trillion in 2014, but recurrent expenditure was raised to N2.616 trillion as against N2.468 trillion in 2014.

Already, the crude oil bench mark price has been reviewed thrice and is now pegged at $65 per barrel, which is still above the $60 price of oil in the international market.

She took to her instagram page moments ago to reflect on how beautiful 2014 has been for her.

“Good morning sweets. I’m grateful for so much. At the end of 2013 I was in a very dark place, toxic relationship, wanted to quit music and was worried about my weight, health issues and actually believed everyone around me was balling except me lol, but this year!!!
“I grew a very thick skin, so things that will usually hurt are now refreshment when my friends and I are gisting lol (bad belle is allowed), my daughter graduated, moved into a bigger house with everything I want in it, I invested more in business and God gave me more, can afford to take care of my parents, I no longer give excuses for my failures, I just get up and ask the Holy Spirit to help, discernment is my best friend and even when it’s far from me I retrace my steps. I’m more mature, not quick to anger like I was in the past and my year is ending in the most beautiful way. My whole family is here with me. There’s so much to be thankful for. 2015 will be a better year, I know this cos I know my father, he loves me enough to ensure that my testimonies never end. ” she wrote.
And the she asked “What’s your testimony? Let’s rejoice with u #merrychristmas #spreadlove #leavehate.”
