The Nigerian army say they are not with Gen. Buhari's certificate

A few days ago, APC Presidential candidate, Buhari said he could not tender any of his academic certificates before INEC because they were all with the Military board and not at his disposal. (read here). Well, now the army has contradicted that claim, saying the do not keep the certificates of any serving or retired officer or soldier. A military source told Vanguard;
"The Army can not keep anybody’s original certificate because it is the personal property of the owner. The original certificate of any officer or soldier is only needed at the point of entry into the service either as a cadet officer entering the Nigerian Defence Academy, or the recruitment officers when interviewing recruits to be sent to the depot for training. That is so, because they are needed to verify what were in the photocopies supplied by them or from the necessary examining bodies.”
"Let me tell you now, in the Navy, the Navy Secretary, keep the documents of all Naval officers and ratings and not their original certificates which are their personal property."

What was the cause of your failed marriage?
The marriage was not working so I had to quit. My partner went as far as abusing me so I had to leave to protect myself and my daughter.

White waiter fired after writing the N-Word on restaurant receipt for 6 black customers

A white waiter in Virginia was fired on January 1st 2015 after he left a racist remark on the receipt of six black restaurant customers.

ABC News Arlington reports

It was supposed to be a night of new memories in a new year with six old friends. “At the end it kinda ruined it for us,” said Ta’les Russell. And what ruined it is spelled out in black and white on paper. “All capital letters, just right there. I just did a double take. I was like, ‘Wow.’ It was just a shock to me,” said Justyce Hill. The word “N—” was typed on receipts to describe six black friends who came to Shatila Lebanese Grill and Hookah for New Year’s celebrations.
"I went to sleep thinking about it; went to sleep upset about it and woke up upset about it,” said Jasmine Tucker. After the group asked their server for separate checks, the server labeled them in the most disgusting way. Hill tells News 8 they tried to confront the busy server. They said they “tried not to make it a big deal.” The friends had just come from a New Year’s Eve church service.
They wanted to celebrate together, but instead they left shocked and disappointed. “Knowing me I would have acted a fool if I didn’t have my head on straight,” said J’Vaughn Flippin.
News 8 sat down with an embarrassed owner of Shatila. "I'm just sorry, man… I'm just sorry," Mike Salame said.
Salame says that server was only there a week. He had already received two complaints and Salame says he was waiting for this third strike. “It’s very very improper. There is no exceptions at all. That’s why when I found out, on the spot, I terminated him…on the spot,” Salame said.

T.B Joshua takes relatives of building collapse victims on shopping spree

According to a story that made the front cover of South African newspaper, Daily News, T.B Joshua took some relatives of the 85 South Africans killed in the collapse of his church building last year, on a shopping spree and showered them with cash.

The pastor invited relatives of about 44 victims to Nigeria and many of them accepted to come. T.B Joshua reportedly put them in nice hotels, took them shopping and gave every family member N50k each. He also took the families to the site of the collapse building where they lost their loved ones.

Schoolteacher, Wonder Ndlovu, 47, whose husband, Mbongeni Ndlovu, 52, died in the collapse to SA Daily News
"He (Joshua) took us to a five-star posh hotel for dinner, fine food and drinks. The hotel is in Victoria Island. After chilling, we came back in his luxurious kombis. There were more surprises while we were preparing to sleep. The mamas who took us shopping knocked and presented us with N50 000 each and they said we must not use all our (own) shopping money. I just sang A huna ya tshwana le yena (there’s no one like him),” she said.
"We met with the man of God (Joshua) and he briefed us about the site visit. Wiseman Harry and other evangelists took us there, it was very emotional for me, but others were strong and comforting. I brought flowers from South Africa and laid them with my son. The prophet is full of surprises. After weeping, he took us to the city to see places. To our surprise we shopped till we dropped and the bill is on him.”
"We were having the time of our lives, forgetting the pain of the past and looking forward to picking up the pieces and moving on. Yesterday has gone by, but tomorrow is forever.”
Ndlovu said of the disaster site: “It is ugly. Looking at the building foundations, we are convinced it was an attack.”
Another group is expected to come to Nigeria this month.
