How I met & Fell inlove with my husband-Dakore Egbuson

Delectable actress, Dakore Egbuson is Married to Olumide, son of Ibadan-born billionaire, Chief Harry Akande, she recounts their meeting and marital journey to Punch
“We met in Lagos. I just relocated from London and he just returned from Chicago. We got talking because he wanted me to present a television show. I did not get the job but I did get the dude. It was work-related but we found out we connected. We were friends for a while before we started dating. Then, I was not out for a date.
I liked him for his confidence and he gave me my space too. He was a real gentleman and well-spoken. When it was time for the engagement, I knew it would happen, but I did not know when. I knew what it was like to make a mistake because my parents were not together and I needed to be sure. I was career driven but not driven about marriage.
On the proposal
“The proposal was really nice. He got down on his knees and proposed and people were emotional. Shortly after that, we got married. We had Ayomide, our first daughter, who is now three, and Dasola, who is 10 months old now.”
On the rumours
They peddled all sorts of stories-His parents did not like me and that I quit acting. But it’s not possible that I would be married if my father-in-law did not like me. I was not even 40 years old yet and people started calling me an ex-actress. It was hard for me! But I decided to live my life and I stopped paying attention to maintain my sanity. How could anyone think I would quit my job because I got married? They said this because I married into a wealthy family, but I still have my purpose and goals that I want to achieve.”
 On Challenges
“Celebrity marriages are not different. The only reason is that people are looking at you. The challenges are the same but are amplified in celebrity marriages. That puts a lot of pressure on the union. The first thing is to marry your friend. You have to marry for the right reason. I married for love; someone I am totally in awe of and respect. It is difficult, but when you have God, there is a balance that comes with it. It is fun and challenging. It is easy to get frustrated but people need to remember their vows.”

On cutting her dreadlocks
“I made up my mind that I wanted to wear dreadlocks, and when I was tired of it, I decided to cut it. My husband did not want me to cut my hair; he wanted our children to meet me with the hair. I dance to the beat of my own drum and my path is different from every other person’s. I have my own mind; if I let people shape my opinions of myself, I will not be authentic to myself.”

I went through psychological trauma. .-OJB on his kidney ailment

After surviving a kidney transplant, OJB has launched a Kidney Trust Fund, in collaboration with The Bow Tie Club, a non-profit making organization. It is being set up to address the issue of funding of kidney disease treatment.Speaking at the launch, OJB recounted his horrible experience.
What was going through my mind was basically what was going through the minds of over 30 millions people that have kidney related problems. Honestly, when you are younger, you don’t think about death.
But for some reasons, I had to think and consider death. I considered the possibilities that it could happen. And of course, when I start considering the possibilities of dying, everything starts flashing back to me; did I do enough, what didn’t I do right, should I die now, what is going to happen to my family and business.
As a result, you start to think about all these things, and the pressure of the thought begin to increase upon you, as the days go by. The psychological trauma is bigger than what you can imagine.
On not giving up
“ I had over 14 million people who were interested in my predicament. So, why should I give up hope of surviving. That was the lucky situation I found myself then.
On the operation in India
It was horrible “but I had confidence that I would make it.”
On finally setting up an NGO
I had already started working towards setting up the foundation, before I fell sick. My sickness was more of an awakening call for me to set up a foundation. I feel that setting up a foundation is something I was meant to do. I also feel that what I went through was for a purpose. I think people that have kidney related problem need a voice, and that was why God allowed me to go through the trauma,”

I Use Urine to Prepare Moi-Moi for My Customers' – Alleged Witch in Delta Confesses

A middle-aged woman alleged to be a witch in Ughelli South local government area of Delta (name withheld) on Friday evening confessed to using her urine to mix the beans with which she prepared moi-moi which she sold to members of the public as well as fed family members with.

LeadershipNG reports that the woman, well-known in the community for her beauty and well-prepared meals especially her moi-moi that she sold to unsuspecting members of the public, allegedly confessed when she was almost lynched by an angry mob over allegations by a young man in the area that she planned to kill him with her witchcraft.

It was gathered that the young man was about taking his bath in the bathroom when a rat almost hit
him on the leg. On seeing the rat, he picked a piece of wood and kill it, but instead of beating a retreat, the rat allegedly increased in size, eventually turning into a human being before disappearing, leaving two slippers behind.

The young man was said to have gone to town with the tale, and on getting to the house of the alleged witch, popularly called MamaT, he was said to have seen the woman surrounded by a angry crowd who descended on her.

Eyewitness said some parts of the woman’s body were swollen, as she was made to put on a pair of slippers, and realizing the slippers were similar to those left behind by the rat, the young man screamed,
“Madam, why are you putting on the same slippers, and why is your body swollen?” And she replied, “I had an accident yesterday where I sustained some injuries and lost one of my slippers.”
Suspecting the woman was the rat that turned to a human being in his bathroom, the young man narated his story to the crowd, while appealing to them to allow him get the slippers that the rat left behind in his house.

By the time he returned and showed the people the single pair of slippers, it was exactly the same with the one on the woman’s foot.

This left the angry mob with no option than to beat her to stupor, before she confessed to litany of atrocities she had committed, while confessing that all through the years, she had been selling moi-moi she used her urine from her coven to prepare.

Why we tried to buy 4.5m car with fake bank alert

Olawumi Oladayo (25) and Chibuzor Ekesi (22) have been arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ibadan, in Oyo State Police Command during an attempt to use fake bank transaction to purchase a car.

Crime Reports learnt that the two suspects went to a car stand at Ring Road area of Ibadan at about 11.30 a.m. on Friday, December 12, 2014 to negotiate the cost of a Crosstour car.

According to the car dealer (names withheld) Oladayo and Ekesi said they wanted to purchase the car on behalf of their father. The dealer said:
“I looked at them and felt they could not have had enough money to purchase the car they pointed at. The car was the most expensive I had at my car stand and
had only 3,000 mileage. The selling price was N4.5 million.“I told them that I would like to see their father and they asked if I would like to speak with him on phone. They called someone who claimed to be the father and he asked me to go ahead and sell the car to them. I wondered how someone would want to buy a car he had not seen or test-drive, but the man said he was comfortable with their judgement.

“The two boys said that they had cash on them, showing me a bag they were carrying. I noticed that the bag did not have the shape of one with cash and when I touched it, it was soft, so I refused. They promised to pay into my account. They asked me to fill the tank of the car before they would return but I said that it was the responsibility of buyers to do that after payment.

“However, I was not comfortable with them so I alerted the police.”
The suspects did not deny the allegation. According to Oladayo who is from Orile-Owu, Osun State,
“I have HND in Civil engineering. I finished in 2011 and served in Lagos state in 2012. I worked briefly with the company I served with but left when it had no contract. I live with my mother in Ibadan.
“I went with my friend to negotiate the price of a car at a dealer’s car stand. My friend had already told me how we would send a fake bank alert to get the car. I wanted to know how he would do it and it would work. When we got to the car, he demonstrated the way he would do the sms alert and on our way from the place, I told him I would not be able to do it because the people would recognize my face.
“We were called back by the dealer and they asked if we were still interested in buying the car. They asked us to test-drive it and while we were waiting, SARS operatives came to arrest us.”
Oladayo claimed that he recently met the other suspect. “This is my first outing with him,” he said.

Oladayo said he decided to join his friend because of financial constraints he had.
“I bought an old Toyota Hilux from the company I served with but later sold it for N600,000. I lent a friend the money for a business so that he could share the profit with me. Unknown to me, the friend used the money for betting and lost.”

In his own confession, Ekesi (22), an undergraduate in university in
the eastern part of Nigeria revealed
“I learnt how to send fake alert through one of my friends based in Owerri. His name is Obiyor Mark a.k.a. Abebe. Sometimes in 2013, he came to visit his friend at my former hostel. I used to chat with him sometimes and in the process, he introduced the idea of using fake alert to purchase cars to me and I bought the idea because things were hard for me. Abebe had once been apprehended by the police.”

Ekesi also confirmed that he was once arrested for the same offence. According to him,
“I was at arrested by Surulere Division in Lagos. What happened was that I defrauded a man through a fake bank alert. I got his number from a newspaper and called him. We dialogued on phone. I sent N6.5 million alert on a Friday and the following day, on a Saturday, I sent someone to the delivery address I gave the dealer to pick the car. I promised to give my friend 10 per cent of the proceeds after I must have sold the car.“We took the car to Owerri and it was given to Abebe to get a buyer. Unfortunately, my friend used my sim card to call his girlfriend while I was asleep and she was arrested. The lady led the police to my friend and they got information about me. The police came to arrest me and I was detained for two and half months in Lagos. I was granted bail but was re-arrested and transferred to Abuja. I was granted bail again in September.”
So why did he decide to repeat what led to his incarceration for seven months?
“I don’t know what pushed me,” the young man replied.
He disclosed that he met his alleged partner-in-crime, Oladayo, through his secondary school friend.
“We were chatting and I related my past experiences to him. I also sold the idea of getting cars through fake alert to him and he agreed to it,” Ekesi said.

“There is a bulk sms panel called sms life which I subscribed to. This is what I use to send alert to bank accounts given to me.”

Buhari’s Certificates? Yes, they are with us –– Army Confirms

After all the noise making online, the truth is finally out. But one thing is sure, OluFamous.Com believes that it's not possible for General Muhammadu Buhari not to have any certificate, like PDP agents were trying to paint, when you consider all the military education he had, home and abroad.

Finally, the authorities of the Nigerian Army have said the service will readily release the credentials and certificates in its custody to serving and retired officers in need of them.

The Director, Amy Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Olajide Laleye, said: “There is a laid-down procedure to request for certificates. It is known to any serving and retired officer.
“If you want anything checked in your file, you simply follow the due process and it would be given to you because the credentials belong to you.”

In an exclusive interview with Punch in Abuja on Wednesday, he said the procedure for the retrieval of the certificates was known to all serving or retired officers of the military.
The Army spokesman was reacting to a declaration by APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari that his credentials were with the military.

Buhari had said in an affidavit he deposed to at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on November 24, 2014 and received by Independent National Electoral Commission on December 18, 2014, that all his certificates were with the Secretary, Military Board.

“I am the above-named person and deponent to this affidavit therein. All my academic qualifications, documents as filled in my presidential form, President APC/001/2015, are currently with the Secretary, Military Board as of the time of presenting this affidavit. The affidavit is made in good faith and for record purpose,” Buhari stated.

On his part, Laleye stated that the Army would not refuse any officer whose certificates were in its custody from getting them if the existing procedure was followed.

He said, “Every serving and retired Army officer has at least a copy of his certificates and credentials kept in the Nigerian Army while that same serving and retired officer has copies of those same certificates and credentials...

“The Nigerian Army does not refuse to give anybody his credentials if the due process is followed. Now, take note of this. Not only does the Nigerian Army keep these things, the individual officers, whether serving or retired, have copies.”
