Gen. Buhari and other executive members of his party this morning January 7th went to the hospital to visit some members of APC who were allegedly shot during his presidential campaign in Port Harcourt yesterday January 6th.

Unknown gunmen opened fire on their vehicle around 5.30am yesterday while the APC members were on their way to Buhari's campaign ground at Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area or River state. Policeman, His Wife and Daughter Shot Dead at Home by Stepson

A respected Georgia policeman, his wife and daughter have been found dead at their family home in a suspected murder-suicide by his stepson, police say, Daily Mail reports.

Paulding County Sheriff's Cpl Sam Driskell, 52(pictured left), his 36-year-old wife, Muachin Driskell, daughter Carolyn Driskell, 12, and stepson Felix Almonte, 21(pictured right), were discovered at the house in Hiram about 2pm on Tuesday.

Police say they believe Almonte was the killer and that the victims were shot in their sleep.

He appears to have used his father's service weapon and later turned the gun on himself.

The shootings likely occurred on Monday night.

The bodies were discovered after Cpl Driskell failed to show up for an appointment on Tuesday morning. 

'No rhyme or reason for it,' Paulding County Sheriff Gary Gulledge told WSB-TV2.

'All our guys are heartbroken.

'We've lost one of the best guys we ever had.

'What we initially believe is they have had some issues with the stepson. 

'I don't know how far they go. We're trying to dig into that right now.'

Derrek Morris, Driskell's cousin who lives across the street, said he had no reason to believe anything had been going on with Almonte. 

'He was just a good young man,' he said.

'I never seen anything out of the ordinary with him.'

SAD! G.U.O Transport company loses 7 luxury buses to fire in Onitsha

Seven luxury buses and 6 mini buses belonging to Onitsha-based transport company G.U.O were completely razed during an unfortunate fire incident that occurred on Monday night, January 5th at the company's headquarters at the Ogbunike axis of Onitsha-Enugu Expressway.

The company said they lost billions in the unfortunate fire. A staff of the company said the fire started around 5pm Monday evening and was caused by an explosion which occurred when a tanker was discharging diesel into a ground tank. All attempts to put the fire out proved abortive until fire fighters came many minutes later, by that time, it was too late. See another photo after the cut...

Twelve people were killed and four left critically wounded today when armed gunmen carried out a 'massacre' at the offices of a notoriously anti-Islamic satirical magazine in Paris.

Two masked men brandishing Kalashnikovs and rocket launchers burst into the Charlie Hebdo headquarters, opening fire on staff.

According to Dailymail, By midday, there were reports of up to 11 people dead and 10 wounded, four critically, including journalists, administrative staff, and police officers who attended the scene.

Pierre de Cossette, a broadcast journalist with Europe1 News, said: 'Several men in black cagoules were heard to shout "the Prophet has been avenged".'

  

Officers were involved in a gunfight with the men, who escaped in a hijacked car and sped away from the 15th arrondissement office, towards east Paris. 

As well as the AK47 assault rifles, there were also reports of a rocket-propelled grenade being used

Florence Pouvil, a salesperson at Lunas France on Rue Nicolas Appert, opposite Charlie Hebdo offices, told MailOnline: 

'I saw two people with big guns, like Kalashnekovs outside our office and then we heard firing. We were very confused.'

'There were two guys who came out of the building and

shot everywhere. We hid on the floor, we were terrified.They came from the building opposite with big guns. It has a bunch of different companies inside. Some of our co-workers work there so we were frightened for them.

'They weren't just firing inside the Charlie Hebdo offices. They were firing in the street too.

'We feared for our lives so we hid under our desks so they wouldn't see us. Both men were dressed in black from head to toe and their faces were covered so I didn't see them.

They were wearing military clothes, it wasn't common clothing, like they were soldiers.'

 A visibly shocked French President François Hollande, speaking live near the scene of the shooting, said:

‘At this moment, there are 11 killed and four critically injured – this is not the final figure.

‘We do not yet know the exact number of victims. The security level in Paris has been raised. We are looking for the perpetrators of this crime.

Jonathan storms Lagos in full force, massive crowd for Campaign

President Goodluck Jonathan is a man of the people, no matter what his opponents are saying about him. The crowd at the Tafawa Balewa square in Lagos to witness his campaign flag-off is massive, something that can be well compared to what Governor Amaechi pulled for the APC in Port Harcourt.

Amaechi is a great mobilizer, so if Jonathan can pull such a massive crowd in Lagos, a supposed stronghold of the APC, then you should know that the contest is a balance one. See more photos below:

Charlie Hebdo cartoonist who let the terrorist into the office speaks, says she was under desk as massacre took place

Charlie Hebdo cartoonist Corrine Rey (pictured above) was the person who let two armed terrorists into the French satirical magazine's office today. The young mother said she 'd just returned from picking her daughter from school when she was confronted by the men who threatened to kill her daughter if she doesn't give them the entry code for the building.

"I had gone to pick up my daughter at day care, arriving in front of the magazine building, where two masked and armed men brutally threatened us. They said they wanted to go up to the offices, so I tapped in the code" she told a French publication
