Photos: Anger, condemnation as Enugu traditional ruler accuses his subjects of witchcraft

Report by lawyer and blogger, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu. Read below...
The story sounds like a fairy tale or a Nollywood Epic Movie script but the story is real and happened in Unadu community in Enugu State.
The traditional ruler of Unadu community In Nsukka Enugu State a retired police officer, Barnabas Agbaji who allegedly forced himself to become the Igwe of the town recently elevated the act of wickedness by arresting" two of his subjects Remigus Nwa Ikeagwu and Silas Ameh, arbitrarily accused them of witchcraft, convicted the accused of being guilty of the offence of Witchcraft, hung a tire around their necks, tied fresh palm fronds all over their bodies and paraded them around the community as common criminals!!
According to a source in the community, the Traditional Ruler has been ruling the town with high handedness and impunity, leaving his subjects in fear and misery, boasting that nothing will happen to him because of his Influence in Enugu state Government.

Tension is already running high in the community and from my investigation, his people are spoiling for wall threatening Fire and brimstone if appropriate action is not taken against the ex-policeman now.

Traditional Ruler and some of his subjects are calling for his dethronement because his recent bizarre action on his subjects is the height of what they can tolerate

The question is: During his service years in the Nigerian police, did this man ever arrest and successfully prosecute anyone for practicing witchcraft? Under which law did he do this?

Vibrant lady allegedly killed by a medical doctor's negligence

Some of these things that I don't have full details on, I like to just post the way it was sent to me. This one is from a friend of the late woman. May her soul rest in peace, amen.
Find attached photos of Owoedimo Inyang with Facebook page name of Imo Inyang whose brilliant life was cut short by a medical doctor at a government hospital in Port Harcourt. She studied MBA in Human Resources from the prestigious University of Wales in England and graduated with flying colours in 2012. She returned back to Nigeria in February 2013 and got a job with an Estate firm in Uyo, Akwa ibom State.
She was admitted at the hospital in September 2014 for CS ( Cesarean section) operation which went wrong as her intestine was cut in the process and stitched up thereafter.

She only got to know few days later what the doctor had done. All effort by the family and friends to save her vibrant life proved abortive and she died in the early hours of 31st Dec.2014 and was buried on  7th Jan 2015 at Port-harcourt cemetery after a brief  service at The presbyterian Church,Port-harcourt.
Imoh was a lady full of life and strive to leave a positive influence on anyone that came in contact with Her. Just hope the family will pursue the matter in court for Her to get justice so that Her gentle soul can rest in peace. Her son survive and is being looked after by her parents.

Corrupt leaders are going to kirikiri Prison —Buhari's Bombshell

Things will never be the same anymore! The APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that all corrupt politicians will end up in jail once he is voted into power.

Buhari, who gave the assurance on Tuesday during the APC rally and the presentation of the party’s governorship flag to Umana Umana as its candidate in Akwa Ibom State, said he would close all loopholes through which Nigeria's collective wealth is being siphoned out of the country.

He assured: “When we come into power, anyone who steals Nigerian money will end up in Kirikiri Maximum Prisons. We are going to make sure that Nigeria’s wealth belongs only to Nigerians.”

He decried the overdependence of Nigeria on oil, saying that the country would not have faced the economic downturn if the country had invested in agriculture.
According to Buhari, Nigeria used to export tin and columbite but all of a sudden, it stopped producing and exporting these minerals with the belief that the country has oil.

On the power sector, Buhari stated that many industries had shut down operation because of epileptic power supply. He noted that Nigerian producers were not able to compete in the international market because of huge cost of generating alternative power.

Buhari, who was a former military Head of State, assured Nigerians that his government would create over three million jobs yearly to take care of the jobless youths.

Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who is also the DG, Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, said he was ashamed to read on the pages of newspapers a story credited to the Peoples Democratic Party that things had improved in Nigeria from 2011 onward.

He added that governors decided that the excess crude money be shared because of the missing cash that was involved.

Amaechi said, “I was ashamed to read on the pages of newspapers, where the PDP said things had improved from 2011 till now.

“Oil price used to be between $120 and $145 before now. Our savings used to be between $45 and $46bn. We had over $10bn to $20bn in excess crude. The reason why the governors asked that excess crude be shared was that after each meeting we had, if the money was $10bn, before we come back for another meeting, it would be $8bn. Who has taken the $2bn? We did not know.

“When we discovered that our money was being taken away with reckless abandon without accounting, it was then we asked, ‘Oga, please share this money. You are not a bank. And if it were a bank, it would add more to the money.”

Amaechi urged Nigerians to make sure they reject PDP and vote for APC to bring positive change.

'I Don’t Know how 2 Military Grenades Got into My Bag' – Girl Suspect

A 16-year-old female student of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, Blessing Ellan and her father who were arrested on Monday while trying to enter the school premises with two military hand grenades said she did not know how the grenades got into her bag.

Ellan, who stated this yesterday in Jalingo while answering questions from journalists at the state police command, said the day she went to the market to buy her provisions, she bought gari and kept
it with her customer to enable her go and buy other things that she would need in school, and when she brought them home, she arranged them in her bag.
“There was nothing that looked like military grenades when I was arranging those things I bought in my bag,” she said.
She stated that even when she left her house to the park, there was nothing like that in her bag, adding that it was when they got to Maraban Zing where their driver dropped some passengers that her father went to the back to monitor her bag and discovered that the bag had been unzipped.
“When my father saw that my bag was open, he asked if I was the one who opened the bag; I told him no and he just zipped it and we all proceeded to Jalingo”.
She said it was when she brought her bag for a search at the school gate that the security men discovered the two hand grenades in the bag.
“Although, when our driver was dropping passengers at Mararaban Zing, I saw four men at the back of the vehicle we entered. But I do not know what they were doing at the back of our car”, she stressed.
She said she has nothing to do with Boko Haram and nothing in common with them.
