We are not a gay couple -Bracket cry out

Singing duo Bracket have been alleged to be gay as they have never been spotted with women before. Some alleged they were madly inlove with eachother..Reacting to the story, they told Punch
“We did not want to talk about it in public before but I guess we have to. We saw the story and it was a very laughable one. We did not believe it was that serious until one of our uncles called from Enugu. He was even laughing when he asked us. At the end of the day, there are certain things you do not say in public but people should wait till they see us get married. We would not begin to say that we have girlfriends in certain places or who they are. But to clear the air, we are not homosexuals. People that know us know that we are not gays.”
The singing duo further talked about their love life. While Smash said he was putting certain things in place before he is ready for a relationship, Vast, said that he is in a relationship with an Ethiopian lady.

Smash said,
“I am a proper Igbo man and there are certain things that my people expect from me before I can get married and once those things are cleared, I would look for someone to marry.”
But Vast said,
“I have somebody and when I am ready, people would go with me to Ethiopia to get married.”

Buhari is an enemy to all those who steal Government money

The Presidential campaign train of the All Progressive’s Congress (APC) moved on Friday January 9, 2015, to Ebonyi and Abia states – with the candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.

The campaign which kicked off on Tuesday 6 January at the Adokiye Amieseimaka Stadium, Igwuritali-Ali in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, led by APC Presidential Candidate, Buhari and his running mate Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has continued full speed onto the states of Cross River, Imo, Delta, Edo and Bayelsa through the course of the week.

The delegation arrived at Aba in Abia State, where a rally was held.
Speaking at the event in Aba, the first Executive Governor of Abia State, Ogbonnaya Onu, stressed to the crowd the importance of voting in the APC to bring about positive change in the state and country as a whole. “We cannot afford to put all our eggs in one basket,” he said, going on to describe the PDP as “a doctor that has been unable to treat an infection for 16 years.”

The event which was anchored by Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa, featured speeches from many other dignitaries such as former governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chris Ngige, Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and APC National Chairman, John Oyegun.

Presidential Candidate Muhammadu Buhari also made known his commitment towards provision of infrastructure, particularly power, in order to rejuvenate the economy of Aba.

Meanwhile General Buhari paid a courtesy visit to HR Majesty Ezei A Ikonne Enyi of Aba who named him as Muhammadu Okechukwu Buhari and also conferred the title Ogbuagu 1 (the Lion-Killer) of Aba on him.

Also present at the rally was Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, who took to the stage, describing the Presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari as “an enemy to those who steal government money.”

December 2, 2014 was a sad day for Mrs. Bilikis Balogun. That day, she learnt that her innocent nine-year-old girl, Nofisat, had been sexually assaulted by their 30-year-old neighbour, Ikechukwu Obasi, while she was in the market.

“He has fled his apartment since the incident. But I just want him to face justice and get punishment for what he did to my daughter,” she said.
“I have never thought that the man could do that to my daughter. He was such a friendly person in our compound. All I know about him is that he is a ‘Yahoo-Yahoo guy’ (a description for young men who specialise in internet fraud).
According to Bilikis, she was in the market when her daughter came crying, and told her the story about how their neighbour took advantage of her at their 83, Aina Street, Pako Aguda home, in Surulere, Lagos.

Punch reports that,Nofisat, a quiet and shy girl, whose eyes showed the painful memory of the experience she had gone through, told our correspondent that she did not suspect anything when Ikechukwu came into the room where she was reading in their apartment and gave her a N1,000 note to go and buy food for him.

She said,
“I bought the food and took it to him. But because the food vendor did not give me back N850 change, he said I should go back and collect it. When I brought the change back to him, he locked the door.
“He then used a cloth to cover my mouth and I could not shout. He then carried me to the bed and did it. When he finished and I was bleeding, he said I should not tell anybody.”
Later that afternoon, the girl narrated what Ikechukwu did to her to another resident of the compound, who spotted her crying in front of Ikechukwu’s room. The neighbour told her to go and report the incident to her mother in the market.
But by the time they got back, Ikechukwu had locked his room and fled. He has not been seen since then.Ikechukwu’s phone number which was provided to our correspondent, has not been available as well.

However, our correspondent visited his Facebook page with the name Eyekay Da Stika Obasi, where he posted photos up until January 2, 2015. He had yet to respond to a message sent to him as of the time of filing thisreport.

Ikechukwu’s Facebook page states that he attended the University of Lagos and studied Psychology even though this could not be verified as a result of the fact that he did not state when he graduated.

The case was reported at the Aguda Police Division, Surulere, but the police said they had been unable to take any action because the culprit had fled.

However, Ikechukwu’s family had approached Nofisat’s family, pleading to pay monetary compensation to settle the matter.

“How can they tell me they want to pay N40,000 so that I would forget my daughter was raped? All I want is justice for my daughter. They have refused to produce the man,” Nofisat’s mother said.
When our correspondent spoke with the investigating police officer in charge of the case, he explained that he was still on the trail of Ikechukwu.
“We cannot refer to the case as a rape, it is defilement. But in the meantime, the two families are trying to settle. I have asked the family of the victim to come to my office but they have not come,” the IPO, who pleaded anonymity, said.
Child Rights Activist, Mrs. Esther Ogwu, has called upon the police to do more than just tell the family of the suspect to produce him.

She said,
“The police should do a thorough job of tracking down the young man. Who knows the kind of fetish thing he might have done to the girl?
“This is a lesson to parents to be wary of neighbours they leave their children alone with.”

So what if my husband is 3 years younger than me...He is my small god-Toyin Aimakhu

Actress Toyin Aimakhu Johnson has had her fair share of criticisms stemming from her marriage to a younger man...In a new interview with the Nigerian Tribune, the actress who hails from Edo state opened up on her marriage and how submissive she is..
It has been rough and sweet at the same time. We amend, we push, we pray and do everything to make it work, because we don’t know anything about marriage, we only dream. It is an experience that is continuous, an institution from which you will never graduate; and we pray never to graduate from it.
Some critics didn’t believe that your marriage could even last this long…
That’s their own wahala. I don’t care. But all the same, I like the attitude. I’ve heard that before, even from people that we thought were close to us. But the truth is, a lot of people don’t know the kind of upbringing we had.
They know neither my background nor my husband’s, so they judge based on speculations. But I love it. It even serves as a push to remind us that it must last. It is obvious that some people are waiting for my marriage to crash and that alone is enough incentive for me to make it work. My home is built on the solid rock, I am not of the world.
There are also speculations that your husband is younger than you are…
My husband is three years older than I am. I don’t owe anyone that explanation though. It is no one’s business. In fact, let them say I am 20 years older than him. It is their problem.
Your husband has been able to change a lot about you. For instance, stopping you from using a blackberry phone, among other things. Many thought you couldn’t be that submissive...
That is why he is my husband. And those that say things about me are those that don’t know me. He is my small god; I have to listen to him because I want to have a happy home. All my older siblings are happily married; everybody in my family is happily married. My eldest sibling is like 50 years old and is still happily married, so mine can’t be a different story.
My parents are still happily married; my father is 74 years old, my mother is 72, so who will I turn to with a broken home? I am submissive to him, because he is my husband. So if he is doing his responsibility, then I have to do mine too as a wife. A lot of people don’t know what a hubby and wife relationship means and that is why we have a lot of broken homes.
I am off BBM because he doesn’t like it and I am fine with it. Moreover, that is the only thing many people know, there are lot of things I had to give up because he doesn’t like it.
 Any role restriction?

Yes. I have lost a lot of roles to that. I even recently lost a chance to feature in an English movie. They ask you if you can do some things or not and I said no.
What can make you turn down a script?

I used to belong to myself, but now I belong to someone and I have to dance to that person’s tunes. As a Christian, we have the 10 commandments and the husband is the ‘small god’ in the home. The Bible says if you listen and obey God’s commandments, He would do everything for you, so that’s the way it is. I’m gone past some roles.

President Jonathan had said at a PDP rally in Lagos Thursday that MEND tried to assassinate him on two separate occasions, pointing out that the leader of the organisation, Henry Okah, now serving a jail term in South Africa over his atrocities, was paid by some people to assassinate him in 2010.

This was even as an ex-militant general, Godsday Smith, alias Bouninawei (the god of the forest), said there was no way ex-agitators in the Niger- Delta region would abandon President Goodluck Jonathan for Muhammadu Buhari.

But he also maintained that Jonathan’s indictment of ex-militants on plot to kill him was hasty and uncalled for, adding that there was no time ex-militants conspired against his government. Smith asked Jonathan to be bold enough to confront the North which he said was planning his downfall.

But on his part, MEND’s Spokesman, Jomo Gbomo, said:
“We challenge President Jonathan to come out and reveal to the nation the names of the persons he claimed paid Mr Henry Okah to assassinate him.

"Goodluck Jonathan should also explain why these persons, as he obviously knows who they are, were not arrested, tried and convicted.”

In an electronic mail by Jomo Gbomo, MEND said it was untrue that it planned to kill Jonathan.

“MEND views the President, Goodluck Jonathan’s recent campaign rally speech as the most outrageous and ridiculous speech by any President, where he openly accused Mr Henry Okah of being paid to assassinate him.”

“Mr President, the MEND says thank you for vindicating every word in our recent statement of endorsement of General Muhammadu Buhari and for also solidifying your status.”

“The MEND would like to state clearly that our endorsement of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential candidate, has absolutely nothing to do with Mr Henry Okah.

“Nigerians may recall that prior to the bomb blast of October 1, 2010; the MEND issued a warning of an impending attack on Eagle Square, Abuja , where we also advised the public to stay clear of any parked vehicles to avert any casualties.

These warnings were ignored by the Nigerian security agencies, hence the unfortunate and regrettable casualties

“If as Goodluck Jonathan claimed, that he was a target of an assassination attempt, why did we issue a prior warning? Where in this world would an assassin warn their targets in advance of an attempt on their lives?"
