Okocha and Oliseh snubbed in top 100 Bundesliga legends list

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is the only footballer with links to Nigeria named by celebrated German newspaper Bild in its ranking of the Top 100 Players to grace the Bundesliga.

Surprisingly, retired Nigeria internationals Austin Okocha, Sunday Oliseh and Jonathan Akpoborie were not considered for selection, but ex Eintracht Frankfurt hero Tony Yeboah made the final cut.

Though Okocha, Oliseh and Akpoborie were not endorsed by the Berlin - based publication, the trio excelled  at Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart.

Austria international David Alaba was ranked in 98th spot behind ex VfB Stuttgart defensive midfielder Sami Khedira, who now turns out for Real Madrid.

The 22 year old has been on the books of Bayern Munich since 2008, and has appeared 113 times in the Bundesliga, scoring 9 goals.

The talented wing back, whose stock is increasing every year, was German champion in 2010, 2013 and 2014.

The top ten is made up entirely of Germans and there are three players who still play in the Bundesliga - Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm - who became world champions last year.

German football icon Franz Beckenbauer followed by Gerd Müller and Lothar Matthaus are the top three players in that order.

A panel of renowned football experts including Ottmar Hitzfeld and Otto Rehhagel determined the players that made the list.

Gunmen storm APC chairman, John Oyegun's home in Abuja

Unknown gunmen today Jan. 12th broke into the home of the Chairman of the APC, John Oyegun.

According to a statement by the party, two men suspected to be assassins broke into Mr Oyegun's Abuja home around 1.3am and went straight into his bedroom to ransack it. The men met Oyegun's wife as he was not at home when they came.
“The facts of the raid as available so far point to a sinister motive. For example, only Chief Oyegun’s room was ransacked in the whole house. Common sense dictates that if the invaders were robbers, they would have ransacked the whole house in search of money and other valuables which they might have believed were in the residence. The invaders, 2 burly men, removed the window burglar bars to gain access to the residence from the back, and then made straight for the bedroom of our national chairman. Police security was in place at the residence when the incident happened.” the statement read

Catholic Archbishop of Jos queries America's help in fight against Boko Hara

The Catholic Archbishop of Jos, Ignatius Kaigama has queried the quality of help America is said to be giving to Nigeria towards the fight against Boko Haram. In an interview with BBC Africa, Bishop Kaigama wondered why Boko Haram attacks is still on the increase despite the reported help America is offering Nigeria
"The question is if the US has been providing help, intelligence and assisting in one way or the other, why the growing destruction? Why is the activities of Boko Haram becoming so sophisticated? So I wonder the quality of help. How effective is that help? How can it bring this situation to a halt? We (Nigeria) certainly need help to overcome this terrorist group because they seem to be expanding and growing more sophisticated in their approach and they are claiming lives and displacing so many Nigerians."
He called on the international community to show genuine concern to issues of terrorism on other parts of the world and not just Europe..
"Let us act together. It is important to feel concern when one part of the world is in trouble. Whether it is in the middle east, Whether is in the sub saharan africa. whether it is in Europe or America. I think we should be genuinely concerned for one another and do what we can like I see the very positive response of the french government in tackling the issue of religious violence after the killings of their citizens. There have been very very positive and putting in all they can in order to ensure this does not happen again. We need that spirit to be spread around. Not just when it happens in Europe but when it happens in Nigeria, in Niger, in Cameroon, in any poor country, that we mobilize our international resources and confront the people who bring such sadness to many families"he said

GOH! Rihanna and Leonardo Dicaprio are expecting a baby! Yay!

Erm, calm down! The hilarious report is from MeditaTakeOut so read and laugh...hehe. See below..
MediaTakeOut.com told you guys that Leonardo DiCaprio was dating Rihanna . . . and that they rang in the new year together. Some of y'all ain't believe us. Well now we have controverted proof.
On Saturday night, there was a party at the Playboy mansion. One of the Playmates tweeted out that she saw Rihanna kissing Leo. She quickly deleted it and added that she was at the mansion with "unnamed celebs" after she realized that she might get in trouble for spilling tea.
Anyways, our SAME SNITCH that told us about Leo and Rihanna (before ANYONE ELSE KNEW) told us that Rihanna is DEFINITELY PREGNANT. And that despite her recent "partying" . . . Rihanna STILL PLANS on keeping the baby. We're STILL not clear yet on who the father is . . . but it now looks like it MIGHT BE LEONARDO DiCAPRIO!!
Wow . . . if Rih has Leo's baby - Blue and North West just got BUMPED INTO B-LIST BABIES!! This is a MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVE!!!
Lol.  They've been saying Rihanna is pregnant for the last two months, but she's been drinking and partying a storm. Guess they will later say she lost the baby!! Lol

GEJ: If you vote for me, I will fight corruption using technology

President Jonathan says if re-elected, he will tackle corruption in Nigeria using modern technology. The President said this while speaking at his campaign rally in Ibadan today. He said that even if he jails 5 million people for corruption, the problem will still persist but that with modern technology, corruption would be prevented. He said his govt is currently working on introducing the technology
"In terms of the number of people I have tried and jailed, maybe I would give you the statistics in my subsequent outings. We have tried more Nigerians. More Nigerians have been jailed within this period after passing through due process. And I used to tell people, even if I try 10 million Nigerians and Jail 5 million Nigerians for corruption, that does not solve the corruption problem.
So for you to solve corruption problems, you must use modern technologies to prevent people from stealing and that is what we are working on. The oil industry is a good area; we are working very hard. I just don’t want to say certain things, because some of these people have been given so much money, they would do everything to stop us. But I promise you that if you vote me and I come back to serve this country for the next four years, the day I would leave here, the next person that would come as the president of this country, people would not talk about corruption, because we are working on technologies and we would use technologies to block all these areas. Today we are talking about IT; we are no longer in the analog generation, so we must deploy IT to solve our human problems and I am promising that in the next four years, the next president, nobody would harass that president for not fighting corruption because I will solve the problem of corruption in this country"
Meanwhile, he promised to create 2 million jobs yearly if re-elected saying he will generated the job for unemployed youths in Nigeria
