N30trillion Didn’t Go Missing Under Okonjo-Iweala’s Watch – Nuhu Ribadu

Mallam-Nuhu-Ribadu-360x225
In an interview with NAN, former EFCC Chairman and PDP Governorship candidate in Adamawa state, Nuhu Ribadu debunked the allegation by former CBN Governor Charles Soludo that N30trillion went missing under Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s watch… Stressing that Okonjo-Iweala’s record is impeccable:

“I was baffled and got deluded for anyone to say that N30 trillion got lost. I think we just have to look at what we earn as a country and what our budget had been in these few years and see how possible it is. If everything we earned is not up to that within the period she has been the minister, which is about three to four years, then we need to be careful. We need to be careful to avoid more damage to our nation, because there are certain things that when it comes out, it will never go back again.”
I challenge anybody to say that she stole N1 at that time; we were all there. I was in charge of EFCC and I want to hear anybody say that she did this and that. I followed her up till now. I think it is somehow uncharitable for someone to come out to say that such an amount of money was missing under her watch.
When I worked with her, she exhibited a nationalistic attitude that was not questionable and believed in any policy that could take Nigeria and its people high. I am close to almost all of us that worked together as a team and I know that Ngozi continues to do what she knows how best to do, which is to serve Nigeria. She managed this economy fairly in spite of all the challenges and difficulties; it is sad for someone to look at Ngozi and said that she has a hand in it (alleged missing funds).
This pull-down syndrome has to stop and we must manage ourselves very well; I am not happy now with what is going on and I think that if it is politics, I think it is something that is hurting us as people and hurting the economy as well,”
Do you agree???

Meet the woman who's addicted to drinking air freshner

27 year old Missouri woman named Evelyn was recently featured on TLC's "My Strange Addiction", where she revealed that she's addicted to drinking air-freshner. According to Evelyn, she drinks 20 cans of air freshner a week and sprays up to 50 times daily.
"I love air freshener. In the last three years, there is not a day where I’ve not had it. Fresh linen is my favorite flavor. Apple crisp is like dirt.”
Evelyn said it started one day when she walked past an automatic air freshner spray, and it “dusted” her cup of glass. She gave it a try, and became hooked. Her man says he hates it but because he loves her, he's understanding. Awww, how sweet!
"I’m pretty sure it’s unhealthy, and if you look at it, it says flammable. It’s nasty, it’s disgusting, but she loves it, and I love her, therefore I just have to deal with it.”

Northern group, ACF, warns Niger Delta militants, Don't threaten Danjuma

The northern socio-political group, Arewa Consultative Forum has warned ex- Niger Delta militants, Asari Dokubo, Tompolo, Boyloaf and others to desist from threatening former Minister of Defence, Gen T.Y Danjuma rtd following the ex minister's recent call for their arrest over their recent remarks that Nigeria will be ungovernable if president Jonathan loses the Presidential elections.

The militants had warned that they would destroy the assets of the former minister in Niger Delta if he fails to apologize for calling for their arrest. Continue...
In a statement released and signed by the ACF's National Publicity Secretary , Muhammadu Ibrahim yesterday February 2nd, the ACF warned that it would not accept any threats from anyone on a man who they described as an elder statesman who fought for the unity of Nigeria.
"ACF and indeed all Nigerians hold Gen T.Y. Danjuma, former Chief of Army Staff and Defence Minister in high esteem, as a revered patriot, elder statesman and a philanthropist of repute who fought for the unity of Nigeria and has continued to play this fatherly role even in his old age. ACF will therefore not accept any threat to his person or business assets or to any law-abiding citizen by any group or individuals in the name of militancy. ACF wishes to remind the Niger Delta militants that President Jonathan did not ascend to his present position through threats and intimidation, but rather through democratic means of canvassing for votes without any form of molestation throughout the length and breadth of Nigeria in 2011. The same process the President and other candidates vying for the office shall go through to emerge as Nigeria’s President in 2015 and not through intimidation, threats and ultimatum. ACF therefore views such threats and intimidation by the ex-militants as an affront not only to Gen. Danjuma but an attack on a democratically elected Federal Government of Nigeria, over which President Jonathan presides. It is also an open challenge to the nation’s security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Security and even the Nigerian military that are responsible for maintaining law and order and any form of internal and external aggression against Nigeria. ACF hereby calls upon the Federal Government to urgently take necessary steps and contain this emerging threat to national security by Niger Delta ex- militants to avert any ugly consequences.” the statement read

PDP condemns Buhari's refusal to participate in Channels TV presidential debate

The PDP presidential campaign group has condemned Gen. Buhari for refusing to participate in yet another presidential debate, this one organized by Channels TV in conjunction with ARISE TV and NPAN. A statement was signed by the party's presidential campaign spokesman, Femi Fani Kayode
"We have been informed that General Buhari and the APC have decided not to participate in the NPAN-Channel Television-organised debate after they had earlier agreed to take part in it. We had thought that having withdrawn from participating in the debate organised by Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), they would have availed themselves this second platform. Now that they have also turned their back on this, it is now very clear that General Buhari is incapable of engaging in rigorous live television debates on the issues of governance.
It speaks about his intellectual laziness and his loss of touch with contemporary issues of development and statecraft. We would like to reiterate that the APC has something to shield about General Buhari. He has campaigned in some states of the federation attacking President Jonathan’s handling of insurgency, corruption and economy. Now there is a platform on which both candidates can engage each other on these issues and he (Buhari) is running away. It is a disgrace to the APC and their candidate that they would treat everybody with contempt.
The organisers of the debates are interested in promoting a robust culture of debates so that people can listen to the candidates and make informed choices on the basis of their arguments. We call on Nigerians to express their displeasure with General Buhari and the APC by rejecting them at the poll. This will be a just recompense for treating the Nigerian people and electorate with disdain”

Women who use sex toys are more decent than prostitutes - Bisi Ibidapo-Obe

Why is there even a comparison? Actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe says women who use sex toys are more decent than prostitutes who give their bodies to different men and in the end come down with all kinds of sexually transmitted diseases. Bisi, who sells sex toys in her lingerie shop in Lagos, says there is no big deal in using sex toys
"It's not a big deal. It is only our mentality here in Nigeria that is somehow. In the western world, they don't see it as anything big. Left to me, anybody using sex toys is even decent compared to a prostitute. If you are using sex toy, you are better than a woman jumping from one bed to the other. Before such a person realizes, she has contracted sexually transmitted diseases. She can even be infected with HIV/AIDS. But with the use of sex toys, nothing like that can happen to you."she told encomium mag..
