Fayose condemns Lagos APC 1-Million-Man March, Says; "Buhari has vindicated me"

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the planned One-Million-Man March by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos as a plot by the party to cause chaos and pandemonium in the State, so as to take the minds of the public away from the lies they told about the health status of the party's presidential candidate, Major General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd). 

The governor also said that he had been vindicated by Buhari, having admitted that he actually travelled to the United Kingdom to rest and that he visited his doctors.

According to a statement issued on Friday, by the governor's Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, "walking the streets of Lagos by the APC won't remove the fact that the party is a congregation of liars and deceitful people, who can never be trusted with the resources of Nigeria and its people."

Fayose who insisted that Buhari was not healthy enough to govern Nigeria said; "A man who campaigned for four weeks, speaking for less than one hour in all the rallies put together and needed to rest for 15 days should just stay at home and be playing with his grandchildren rather than struggling to take up a job that he does not have the required mental and physical strength to do."

He said; "They brought in Buhari like a thief in the night and now they want to put Lagosians into more hardships by blocking major roads all in the name of a phoney one-million-man match. "Why not hold their rally in a designated place instead of embarking on a match that will cause chaos and hardships in the state?"

 On Buhari's admisson that "he just went off for a couple of weeks to rest," Fayose said; "who do we now believe? APC said Buhari went on working visit to UK while Buhari himself said he went to UK to rest. "When asked by press men whether or not he ever visited any hospital in UK, Buhari said: 'What is wrong for me to go the hospital?'

 "By this statement from Buhari himself, it is clear that APC and its lying leaders tried to fool Nigerians, lying so brazenly and using fake pictures to authenticate their lies. "Even though there is nothing wrong in Buhari going for medicare abroad, afterall he should be seeing his doctors more often at his age, it is shameful that APC lied so brazenly trying to cover up the obvious reasons Buhari travelled for 15 days.

"What is wrong is the lies told to defend Buhar's trip to the UK to rest and seek medicare.The fake pictures of Buhari walking the streets of London, the fake Tony Blair picture and the use of pictures taken in Transcop Hilton, Abuja and claming that the pictures were taken in London is the main issue.

"Most importantly, presenting Buhari to us as a superhuman, who can never fall sick is what is wrong and Nigerians are expecting Buhari to apologise for all the lies told in an attempt to cover up the real reasons he (Buhari) travelled secretly to UK."

Woman Who Snatched Baby Zephany Banned From Seeing Her

Recall the 17year old girl who reunited with her real family after pupils at school pointed out her resemblance with another student – Well, the South African woman who snatched her 3 days after she was born and raised her as her own for nearly 18 years was today banned by a judge from any contact with the child.

According to Daily Mail, the 50-year-old was who stole the baby at birth was ordered by a judge to live at a secret address isolated from the girl she’d brought up for nearly 18years and the husband she’d deceived.
As for the girl, who turns 18 next month, she has since learned that she was stolen at birth following an extraordinary twist of fate when her long lost sister, 13-year-old Cassidy Nurse, joined her school.
Unaware they were related, the girls struck up a close friendship, despite their age difference, and soon became inseparable.
The woman who kept the secret of snatching the baby from her husband – It is understood that, she had had a still birth before she took Zephany and was able to breastfeed the newborn and bring her home from hospital without raising suspicion, even from her own husband.
And the twist is that both families live just a few streets apart and they never even noticed

Saudi Arabian Blogger May Face Death Penalty For Insulting Islam

A Saudi Arabian blogger was earlier this year sentenced to 1,000 lashes for insulting Islam which meant that he would be flogged 50 times every Friday for 20 weeks – but his wife has revealed that he could now face the death penalty.

After Raif Badawi’s first beating in Jeddah on January 9 this year, the process was paused when doctors ruled that a week later his scars had not healed sufficiently for him to face another round.
The punishment has since been postponed each week on medical grounds but the government has so far failed to come up with a long term solution, reports UK Mirror.
Yesterday, his wife, Ensaf Haidar, said her country’s criminal courts want him to undergo a retrial for apostasy, which means he could be sentenced to death.

Reason Why PDP is Angry With Jega Exposed

The President and the PDP, are not happy with Jega over his insistence that the commission would use the Permanent Voter Cards for the election – Apart from this, the President and the party were also angry that the commission was going ahead with its decision to use card readers.

According to Punch:

The commission has said that the card reader can only read PVC issued by it and that any person that shows up at the polling unit without a PVC or with a card not issued by INEC will not be able to vote.
It was learnt that the Presidency and the ruling party were not totally against the use of the PVCs, but they were not happy with the use of card readers.

“Now, what we are saying is that yes, the PVCs were used in both Ekiti and Osun governorship elections but the way and manner the PVCs are being distributed now is suspicious.
“Look at the figure of those who have collected from the northern part of the country and look at the figure from the southern part, where President Jonathan hails from.
“If the election is going to be by ethnic sentiment alone, you will know that our President has been defeated already. So, that’s the reason.
“Look at Ogun and Lagos states, which we all know are politically sophisticated. Why are the electorates not picking their PVCs? We are worried.”

Dad-to-be Killed in Accident Hours After He Announced He Was Expecting a Child

A young man was crushed to death after a parking barrier swung into his car, just hours after he had told his family he was expecting his first child with his girlfriend.

The 22year old Will Page, was driving out of an industrial estate in Ilkeston in Derbyshire when a parking barrier swung into the windscreen of his van, trapping him and crushing him to death.
According to UK Mirror, Mr Page’s father Brian said:

‘One minute he was telling everyone he was having a baby and over the moon – and the next this happened.
‘He loved kids and being a father was everything he wanted. Everyone said he would have been a great dad.’

Flowers have been left at the industrial site in Ilkeston where the parking barrier (right) swung into his van and his father said:

‘It was truly astounding and so emotional. It made me feel so much better because he was loved by so many.
‘Will was such a happy-go-lucky child, right up to his death, forever smiling and laughing.
‘He was the typical joker type of lad and would do anything to cheer people up.
‘You couldn’t find a better son, mate, brother or leader – he was well-thought-of by so many people.’

His friend Lee Harris, 28, of Ilkeston, who worked with him for about five years at A&D Plastics in Digby Business Park said:

‘It is not something you expect to hear. When I found out he had been involved in an incident, I walked up there thinking he had broken his leg. You do not think the worst.
‘It was when I found out he was trapped that I realised it was bad. He was a great lad, I always got on with him and he was one of those people you bond with through work. My brother Daniel was his best mate. They did everything together; fishing and holidays.’
