Pres. Jonathan orders full investigation into cause of diplomatic row with Morocco

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is shocked, surprised and highly embarrassed by the controversy that has erupted over whether or not he had a telephone conversation with His Majesty, King Mohammed VI of Morocco. The regrettable furore that has developed over the matter is due entirely to misinformation as President Jonathan has neither spoken with King Mohammed or told anybody that he had a telephone conversation with the Moroccan Monarch.
It is true that President Jonathan has been speaking with some African leaders to seek their support for Nigeria’s candidate for the position of President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

In continuation of his efforts in support of the candidacy of the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina for headship of the AfDB, President Jonathan indicated that he would like to speak with the King of Morocco, the President of Algeria and the President of Egypt. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was consequently directed to make necessary contacts with the embassies of the three countries and arrange for President Jonathan to speak with their leaders.

Since that directive was given, President Jonathan has spoken with the Prime Minister of Algeria and subsequently sent Vice President Namadi Sambo to Algiers as Special Envoy to follow-up on his discussions with the Algerian Prime Minister on support for Nigeria’s candidate in the coming elections for the AfDB Presidency.

The President has, however, not yet spoken with King Mohammed VI and President Al-Sisi of Egypt as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must know. President Jonathan has therefore ordered the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aminu Wali to urgently undertake a full investigation of the claim which emanated from the Ministry that the President spoke with King Mohammed VI.

The investigation is to identify all those who were responsible for the unacceptable act of official misinformation which has resulted in an unnecessary diplomatic row with another country and national embarrassment. It is also expected to unveil the motives of the culprits. President Jonathan has also ordered that prompt and commensurate disciplinary action be taken against the culpable person or persons.

While awaiting the outcome of the investigations, President Jonathan urges Nigerians to disregard the vituperations of opposition elements, who have, true to type, latched on to the regrettable faux pas as a fresh opportunity to unpatriotically denigrate the government of their country and advance their irresponsible quest for victory at any price in the coming elections.

Televangelist Creflo Dollar needs 200,000 people to donate $300 each so he can buy $65m Ministry plane

Read and be amused. Or maybe annoyed. Popular televangelist and founder of World Changers Church International, Creflo Dollar, 53, is hoping to get 200,000 people to donate $300 so he can buy a brand new luxurious $65 million Gulfstream G650 airplane for his ministry, which last year had billionaires reportedly waiting in line to get one. The saddest part is, some people will actually donate

Below is the Church appeal posted on his website...

"The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars (over #50k or more to turn this dream into a reality — and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years."

The appeal went on to say they want a new private jet because the current one they are using, which was built in 1984 and purchased by his ministry in 1999, recently had engine failure and that if not for their skillful pilot, the plane would have crashed.

Dollar insists that he needs one of the most luxurious private jets made today in order to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. According to his admin 

"we believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide. We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ,"the appeal continued before asking supporters of the ministry to sow a $300 seed into the airplane fund, billed Project G650.

Knowing people and religion, they will pay for this jet! Even those with retirement money. This looks like exploitation to me.

She released a story to the press about how I wrecked her life, I believe it was the emotions of the moment because that is not who she is and that would never define her, a lady whom I spent 6 years of my life with.
She is an incredible person, incredibly beautiful, incredibly gifted, and incredibly generous with her soul, her spirit. You cannot spend 6 years with a Caribbean girl if she is not incredible. In our moments of grief and disappointments, we say things that we do not mean. Would I hold it against her? Maybe I did, but I moved on 5 minutes after, and I do not hold it against her.
But she is always going to be a part of my life; my history will never be complete without her. It completely spells the measure of man that I am. I did not say one word and I still will not say one word in respect of who she is. If she is right I will leave it for people that know us to judge. They are the ones I owe my explanations to. I have often said that I don’t owe anybody any apology as to the steps and decisions I take in my life. I owe hardened fans an explanation and not an apology.
People that are waiting for me to wake up and say stuff have eternity to wait. She is who she is, she said what she did. She may regret it or not, I do not know because I never asked her, all I know is that someone spent 6 years with me and come rain come shine, anytime she calls me I will readily rise to the occasion. My life will never be complete without her and she will always have a special place in my heart.”

And on his relationship with Nadia Buari,(who just had twins for another guy, even though we al thought she was engaged to Jim Iyke), he said:

“You don’t need a soothsayer to tell you nor do you need a fake prophet to spell it out to you. I am the kind of man that drops hints; I do not have to tell the whole story because it makes you lose your mystic, it makes you lose the strength of your advantage over people. But here I am with my BFF, an incredibly intelligent and beautiful person and I think that is what I need in my life”.

Jonathan is Against Me Because I Rejected His VP Offer – Tinubu

National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said President Goodluck Jonathan offered him the opportunity to serve as the Vice President in an Interim National Government, which he rejected and that has spurned the recent attack on his person…

In a statement released by Tinubu’s media office on Thursday, said Jonathan blamed him for the successful merger of the APC and the momentum the APC presidential candidate, Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) was gaining:

“From what can be gathered through informed sources, the PDP and Jonathan Presidency had recently tried to fracture the APC by offering Tinubu the position of vice President in an interim government if he would agree to part company with the popular Buhari. Once Tinubu rebuffed the offer to participate in the interim scheme, the presidency decided to change tactics. It would no longer try to entice Tinubu with sugar but would now move to silence and if necessary neutralise him.
“The APC National leader has caused President Jonathan’s team countless headaches this campaign season, his declining the interim government offer is just the latest.”

The former governor said the recent hate documentaries televised were part of the desperate attempt by Jonathan to discredit him – But the Director of Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described all these allegations as baseless and false, Punch reports.
According to Fani-Kayode in a statement, he said:

“These allegations are baseless and false. These people have become prisoners of their own delusions and they have become victims of their horrific and terrifying hallucinations.”

So who is telling the truth in all these election brouhaha???

Blessing Okagbare Angry With GEJ Campaigners For Using Her Image Without Her Consent

Common Wealth gold medalist, Blessing Okagbare has expressed her anger at a body said to be working for President Goodluck Jonathan, who have used her image without seeking her consent.

The advert by GoodHouse Nigeria tagged GEJ Okagbare, which according to her, had been running on various social media in Nigeria and also on Youtube, is totally wrong.
Okagbare, took to her Twitter account on Thursday, to express her displeasure, as she tweeted:
“I just wanted to be patient at first, but my agent is not happy because he thinks I am a woman and

very far from home too.
“Someone out there is using my image, footage and everything I have worked for to make money through advert and campaign without seeking my approval. If an advert is being made with my footage and I am not aware of it, it shows how some of my countrymen back home can be so selfish, disrespecting and have no regard for people’s privacy.”

In a statement sent to Punch by her agent, Okagbare:

“Now, I am here struggling on my own to pay my coach, nutritionist, doctor and others to make sure I am in good shape for the All African Games and the IAAF World Championship in Beijing, China, later in the year, and some people back home are using my image and footage for presidential campaign advertorial without seeking for my approval.
“This is fraudulent because I am totally not in support of it. We called the people (GoodHouse Nigeria) and they denied using my image and footage for PDP presidential advertorial. Who did it then? Why are they lying?”

And the gold medalist said she was condemning the act because those involved were not doing the right thing whether for sports or business.

“It is not about financial support. It is about me and what I represent,”

On her dreams in Nollywood:
We were coming from a place where it was disgraceful to be an actor. My first plan was to earn money to help my brothers. When I achieved that, my dream was to make this job a success so much that people would respect me and I would be proud of myself. It was just to earn the respect of Nigerians.
On people seeing her as headstrong and arrogant:
I realized I was different and it made me a target. A long time ago, when it was not popular to do so, I demanded that they pack my food on set. And they said I was proud. I tried to fit in, in the past, but after a while I feel I don’t have to be apologetic. I asked, ‘Why am I too fast?’ God told me, if that is how I made you, then don’t apologise for it. I have always demanded high standards, I have realized that I have the grace and energy to do it. But people do not understand the whole purpose until I am done.
On her husband:
I am favoured. He trusts my decisions. He knows I am not irresponsible even if I say so myself. I consider every decision carefully. He may have reservations but that is human, and that is not going to be a deal breaker.
On infidelity:
Men cheat for different reasons and women cheat for different reasons. For women, it usually happens when the spouse does not show care and love. It is not really the money. I don’t lack care; how much can you possibly give me more than what I already have? Also, you have to think about what you are going lose; your home, respect and integrity. When a woman cheats, then she really wants to cheat and it will be quite difficult to catch her at it because women are good planners.
On her religious beliefs:
I gave my life to Christ when I was 15 years and I used to preach inside ‘molue’. It is important that you find Christ and find him early. It is for your good. The fact that I found Christ early helped me to be focused. I always rely on God for direction (even when I wanted to get married), I just have to find peace with it and then go for it. I really did not indulge in those things that could have exposed me because I wasn’t interested. I don’t like clubbing. Even when I was single, you would have to pay me to go clubbing.
On her music career:
I finished my second album since 2010 but it is not yet out contrary to insinuations. I am not trying to be a Tiwa Savage. My career is like a Barbara Streisand kind of career. I said I would bring out an album every five years. The next step for me is to have my own entertainment place where you can listen to my music, watch my movies and experience everything about Omotola.
On the next 20 years:
In the next 20 years, I am hoping that I will be alive and God will grant me good health. I hope to be a sexy grandmother as well.

Kim debuted the new hair color while she left the Royal Monceau hotel during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday. Kim just looks completely ridiculous and out-of-place, and the bright and greasy hair color just emphasizes all the wrong features.
