Photos: Baby born in Alabama without a nose

Beautiful Eli Thompson was born on March 4th in an Alabama hospital- without a nose. Immediately he was born, Eli began breathing through his mouth. Eli's mother, Brandi McGlathery, said she knew immediately her child was born that something wasn't right.
"I pulled back and said, 'Something's wrong! And the doctor said, 'No, he's perfectly fine.' Then I shouted, 'He doesn't have a nose!'" She told Al.com
Now, she says he's perfect the way he is. According to her, Eli was born with a rare condition known as complete congenital arhinia. The condition affects fewer than 40 other people around the world, according to the University of South Alabama Children's & Women's Hospital ...

According to what his mother said, Eli will have to grow past puberty before his nasal passageways could be rebuilt surgically. Until then, she said, she wants to spare him any unnecessary facial surgeries. "We think he's perfect the way he is," she said. "Until the day he wants to have a nose, we don't want to touch him. We have to take it day by day."

Ernest Azudialu, Nestoil boss narrowly escapes death, photos of his bullet-riddled SUV

According to reliable news sources, the GMD, Nestoil Group, Dr Ernest Azudialu, narrowly escaped death at the hands of some thugs in Ihiala, Anambra state on Sunday March 29th. The attack was allegedly led by another political big wig from the state. (Photo of the bullet-riddled SUV above)

According to an eyewitness account, after a peaceful voting process in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, INEC officials started collation of results. Unable to conclude the process Saturday night, they resumed Sunday morning to the local government headquarters. When it became obvious that "their" candidate was losing, they moved in and started altering the results in favour of their House of Representatives candidate, Emeka Anohu. Azudialu upon urgent notification by concerned members of the community, returned to the polling booth to insist that the will of the people, must be allowed to prevail on who represents them. Continue...

He objected to the shenanigans and unlawful goings on and in the process got physically assaulted by the political big wig for daring to interfere in the alterations of the result. He was also slapped in quick succession by the political big wig.

Azudialu’s aides quickly ran to his rescue and after much commotion and hindrance, were able to successfully get him to his car. In the commotion that ensued, thugs started shooting at Azudialu’s vehicle, destroying the tyres and some parts of the vehicle.

The vehicle was a bullet proof Mercedes Benz G-Wagon that saved the life of Azudialu and its other occupants as they tried to escape to safety. Some members of his entourage were not so lucky as they escaped with bullet wounds and are now receiving treatment in the hospital.

Dr Ernest Azudialu has since then confirmed the incident and expressed shock at the attempt on his life. “I am still shaken by the brazenness of .....” ‎.

Azudialu’s bullet proof Mercedes Benz G Wagon was reportedly sprayed with bullets. When the bullets failed to penetrate the armoured vehicle, the thugs sprayed the tyres with bullets.

Responding to Azudialu’s allegation, Anohu said it was baseless and a pack of lies targeted at rubbishing a credible process. He denied that Azudialu was attacked as claimed‎.

I know this is not the sort of leadership that we are trying to implement - where an invasion of someone else's community, attacking and murder attempts of fellow humans who stand up for justice and truth becomes a way of life.

Fr Mbaka congratulates Gen Buhari, says his victory confirms him as a true prophet of God

Outspoken Enugu based cleric, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry Enugu has sent out a congratulatory message to Gen Buhari on his victory. In his congratulatory message signed by his spokesman, Maximus Ugwuoke, Fr Mbaka stated that Gen Buhari's victory has proven that he was indeed a true prophet of God. His congratulatory message below
"It is with vindictive joy and glory to God that the Adoration Ministry, the nation and indeed the world saw the fulfillment of Fr. Mbaka’s New Year prophesy of change with the miraculous, victorious emergence of Gen.Muhammadu Buhari at the March 28 polls as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We wish to restate that before President Goodluck became the President of this country, Fr. Mbaka prophesied it in his message titled ‘Okolo.’
Today again, Buhari’s victory among other lessons it portends for Nigerians has once more confirmed to all and sundry that Fr. Mbaka is indeed a true Prophet of God and that his New Year message was indeed from the Oracle of the Holy Spirit as he declared.
The ministry with magnanimous heart holds no grudges against anyone who attacked it in one way or the other at the rage of the controversies surrounding Fr. Mbaka’s message and view their actions as being orchestrated by their misconstruing of Fr. Mbaka’s prophetic calling.
The Ministry joins the rest of Nigerians to congratulate Muhammadu Buhari as God’s chosen instrument of change to tackle the myriads of problems facing Nigeria and pray God to endow him with the wisdom to go about this onerous task.”

Read President Elect, Muhammadu Buhari’s Acceptance Speech

Buhari2
Winner of the March 28 presidential election, General Muhammadu Buhari gives his acceptance as follows… Read below:

Your Excellency, the Vice President elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, your Excellency, Chief Rotimi Amaechi, the Director General of APC Presidential Campaign, 2015, your Excellency, the former Governor of Edo State and National Chairman of our great party, your Excellency the Governor Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, your Excellency, the former Governor of Imo State, Dr Ogbonaya Onu, Your Excellency, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Engineer Oni, your Excellency the former Governor of Kwara, Bokola Saraki, your Excellency, the Speaker of the House of Representative, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, Please, let me stand on existing protocol.
At exactly 5:15 yesterday (Tuesday) evening, President Jonathan called to congratulate me on my victory. For this, I want all Nigerians to join me in congratulating and appreciating Mr President for his statesmanship. President Jonathan was a worthy opponent. I extend my hand of fellowship to him. I look forward to meeting him soon, as we plan the transition from one administration to another. He will receive nothing but cooperation and understanding from me, who led this nation to democracy. You stood in line patiently for hours; in the rain, in the sun and then in the dark to cast your votes. Even when the vote was extended to Sunday in some places, you still performed your civic duties.
You did so peacefully. You voted with your heart. Your vote affirms that you believe Nigeria’s future can be better than what it is today. You voted for change and now change has come. INEC has released the official result of the Presidential Election. INEC has declared that I gained the most votes with the required spread and won this election. In a more profound way, it is you, Nigerians that have won. The people have shown their love for our nation and their believe in democracy. The declaration of INEC accurately reflects the will of the people.
While there might have been some logistical obstacles and irregularities associated with the exercise, the result shall stand as what the people want. I thank all Nigerians who have made this day possible, our country has now joined the community of nations that have used the ballot box to physically change an incumbent president in a free and fair election To me, this is indeed historic. Most people will welcome the result because it is the one they voted for. Others will literarily be disappointed. I ask that we all be circumspect, respectful and peaceful in these times. This was a hard-fought contest. Emotions were high.
We must not allow them to get the better of us. This is not the time for confrontation. This is a moment that we must begin to heal the wounds and work toward a better future. We do this first by extending a hand of friendship and conciliation across the political divide. We hope and pray our friends in other parties reciprocate. I thank all the members of the All Progressives Congress, the APC, for their commitment and their hard work through the formation of the party, the campaigns and the presidential elections. Let me equally express my appreciation to the media, civil society and security agencies for their selfless service.
The international press and our friends abroad deserve a fair commendation for their support throughout the process. We promise a robust and dynamic engagement with your countries in matters of mutual interest. In the interim, I call on all Nigerians to be law abiding and peaceful. The eyes of the world were focused on us to see if we can vote in a peaceful way and carry out elections in an orderly manner. We have proven to the world that we are a people who have embraced democracy and a people who seek a government by, for and for the people.
We have put one party state behind us. We have voted for a government that will serve and govern, but will never rule over you. CHANGE has come and a new day and a new Nigeria is upon us. The victory is yours and the glory is that of our nation, NIGERIA. I will make a more formal address to the nation, later in the afternoon after I receive the certificate of return from the INEC.
May God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Muhammadu Buhari

Read Obama’s Statement on Nigeria’s Presidential Election

obama_presser_kb_131009_16x9_992
President of the United States, Barack Obama has expressed delight in the peaceful conduct of the just concluded presidential election – He says Nigeria has shown strong commitment to democratic principles and enjoined INEC to extend this manner to the Gubernatorial elections coming up on April 11…

The last few days have shown the world the strength of Nigeria’s commitment to democratic principles. By turning out in large numbers and sometimes waiting all day to cast their votes, Nigerians came together to decide the future of their country peacefully. I commend President Goodluck Jonathan and President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari for their public commitments to non-violence throughout the campaign. President Jonathan has placed his country’s interests first by conceding the election and congratulating President-Elect Buhari on his victory.
I look forward to working with President Jonathan throughout the remainder of his term, and I thank him for his many years of service and his statesmanlike conduct at this critical juncture. I urge President-Elect Buhari and President Jonathan to repeat their calls to their supporters to continue to respect the election outcomes, focus on unifying the country, and together lead Nigeria through a peaceful transition. Nigeria’s Independent National Election Commission (INEC) and its Chairman, Attahiru Jega, deserve special recognition for what independent international observers have deemed a largely peaceful and orderly vote.
I commend INEC for its extensive efforts to increase the credibility and transparency of the electoral process. Looking ahead to the gubernatorial elections on April 11, it is imperative that national attention turn to ensuring isolated logistical challenges are overcome and peace is protected, even in the most hotly contested races. On behalf of the American people, I extend congratulations to the people of Nigeria and to President-Elect Buhari and look forward to continuing to work with the newly-elected government on our many shared priorities.
