Buhari's emergence as president was ordained by God-Pastor Kumuyi

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi has assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo will fulfill their campaign promises.
Speaking with journalists at Kaduna Airport over the weekend ,Kumuyi said
“With the past records of the President as well as the Vice President, I believe they meant what they said during the campaigns and I want to say they will really focus on the drive to bring the change they actually spoke about and I believe we will see change. The emergence of Buhari as President was ordained by God and l urge the President to rule with the fear of God.”“Anyone in position of government is there by the ordination of God, and so should rule with the fear of God. We should look at whatever mistakes the past government made and see how to sincerely correct those mistakes and not only to dwell on the mistakes but move us forward so that we can have a better country for a new generation of Nigerians.”

"What happened was that sometime in April, we went to Igando area at about 7.30pm for an operation and we saw a lady driving a flashy car around the roundabout. We also took her away from the scene and dropped her on Obadore Bridge. The vehicle was taken to Onitsha for sale, but the police have recovered it. I was a dismissed soldier. I was a Lance Corporal in Ojo before I was dismissed in 2010 for escorting stolen goods.”
Items recovered from the suspects include eight vehicles including a Toyota Highlander, a Lexus, and a Toyota Corolla, allegedly snatched by the gang in different areas of Lagos. Other items recovered from them were barreta pistol, one locally-made double-barrelled cut-to-size gun loaded with two live cartridges, and six other live cartridges.

PDP reminds Buhari of his campaign promises..Says APC lacks direction

Following president Buhari's visit to Niger and Mali recently, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressive Congress (APC) of insincerity ..In a new statement the PDP said the APC are doing the same thing they chastised immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan for doing, when he sought regional cooperation in fighting Boko Haram.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement on Sunday said
“The APC must understand that the hallmark of democracy is freedom of expression and opinion, particularly on governance issues; inalienable rights of all citizens guaranteed by the constitution and which must not be denied them under any guise whatsoever.“Though we had decided to give President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party time to settle down, indicators show that the APC is not getting its bearing right and the PDP as a party that has nurtured and sustained democracy in the last 16 years, we cannot fold our hands and watch our nation drift towards dangerous undemocratic paths”, the party said.
The statement also claims since the APC took over power  there has been no clear sign of seriousness and direction, but confusion, and hysteria for positions of power ..
“The concern of well-meaning Nigerians is that this may be a pointer to the fact that the APC lacks clear-cut directions on how to govern a nation as complex as Nigeria”, it said.“The negative effect of the glaring political commotion in the APC is compounding President Buhari’s self confessed nervousness and puzzlement, his flip-flops and worrisome reneging on campaign promises for which Nigerians will continue to hold him accountable.
Instead of fighting for positions, which betrays their lust, APC leaders should be more concerned with how to help President Buhari, who is still struggling with his ministerial list and basic appointments more than a week after his inauguration. They should be more concerned with how to end insurgency by the end of July as promised by President Buhari in his April 2, 2015 CNN interview.
“They should be concerned about how to pay N5,000 each to 25 million poor Nigerians beginning from the end of June; how to bring the naira to the same value with the dollar; provide allowances to the discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months; provide free education and meals for school children among others as they promised during the campaigns.
“We invite the APC to note the concern of Nigerians that the pictures emanating from their camp are not reassuring in this direction”, the PDP said.

The Borno State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the killing of two persons after a suspected female suicide bomber detonated an explosive along Baga/Monguno.

The Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Opadokun, who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Maiduguri, said that four persons were also injured.
“A female suicide bomber detonated an Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) strapped on her body along Baga/Monguno highway, killing herself and two others on Saturday. Four persons sustained injuries during the attack,’’ he said.
He also confirmed an IED explosion near a military check point in Konduga Local Government Area,
in which two persons were injured.
“It is true that we had a suspected IED explosion at Tungushe village in Konduga LGA on Saturday near a military check point. Two persons were injured and they are now being treated at the hospital,’’ he said.
Mr. Opadokun advised residents to be vigilant and report strange objects to the nearest security check point for action.

Suicide bombings by suspected members of the Boko Haram in Borno State have killed dozens of people in the past month as soldiers continue their onslaught on the group. President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged to defeat the insurgents and already called for the transfer of the army command centre to Maiduguri, the state capital.

Another fuel tanker fell in Lagos Sunday morning, June 7 on Lekki-Epe expressway.
This comes after two fuel tankers fell at Iyana Ipaja and Idimu both in Lagos destroying

of loss are not out yet. Emergency
officials are also on ground.

Mrs Aisha Buhari & her N10m Wristwatch Cover Today's ThisDay Style

Barely hours after she settled in as the first lady of the country, Aisha Buhari got critics on her tail. First, it was the closure of her beauty salons in Kaduna, then a luxury wrist watch spotted on her wrist at the inaugural ceremony of her husband, and also visible in her official portrait. As expected, there were supporters and opposers as everyone wanted to know if the item of luxury is a gift or a prized possession..

According to a reliable source who talked with ThisDay, it is likely that the wrist watch is a gift from one of her female friends who has been hanging out lately with the first lady. It is believed that this
special friend of Aisha is seeking favour from the president for her husband who is eager to be on the president good books, and perhaps find high favour to walk in the highest realm of power in his administration.

Sen. Saraki on why he boycotted APC Primary election yesterday

Senator Bukola Saraki in a statement signed by Dino Melaye and Ahmed Sani, explained why he boycotted the mock primary organised by the APC yesterday to elect a Senate President. Press statement from Senators-Elect of Like Minds below...
We the Senators-Elect of Like Minds today 6TH of June 2015, on the invitation of our party, attended an interactive meeting with selected 5 members from each group, the Unity Forum and the Like Minds Group.
Regrettably, the Unity Forum insisted on open ballot voting which we discovered is different from the electoral process used to conduct the earlier election with the House of Representatives members elect. To us, this open ballot voting is primitive; undemocratic and against universal electoral norms and practice.

In the light of the above, we the Senators elect of Like Minds hereby insist on our position of Open Secret voting process which we believe is in consonance with the provisions of the electoral act, the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the universal electoral values.

As responsible citizens of Federal Republic of Nigeria, and leaders in our own right, we have resolved and hereby state that we shall not be part of a process that promotes undemocratic electoral process that may resort to rancorous and uncivil situations which inhibits the rights of individuals to vote for the candidate of their choice, as this process will further divide us than unite members of our party.

In conclusion we the Senators-Elect of Like Minds wish to state categorically that we will participate only in the constitutional election scheduled for Tuesday, the 9th of June 2015 in line with the rules of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We by this press release invite the media to a joint press conference by the 65 Senators-Elect of Like Minds drawn from across party lines on Monday morning, the 8thof June 2015

SIGNED,
Senator-Elect Dino Melaye Senator-Elect Ahmed Rufai Sani
ON BEHALF OF SENATORS-ELECTS OF LIKE MINDS

Leonardo DiCaprio sues French mag for claiming he is having a baby with Rihanna...and he doesn't want the child

Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly suing a French gossip magazine called 'Oops! for alleging that he's having a baby with Rihanna and he does not want the child.
According to Gossip Cop, who claim they have exclusive court documents filed by Leo's lawyers in a French court, the actor is demanding the magazine retracts the story and pays him the maximum compensation French law allows, which would be about $20,000 in damages plus legal fees.
Gossip Cop also reports that Leo is also asking that the magazine be fined about $15,000 if they don't apologize to him or print a retraction.
Leo reportedly became aware of the magazine's report after sighting it in France while he was there for the Cannes Film Festival last month. It was published May 13th with the title ''Rihanna Pregnant With Leonardo's Baby: He Doesn't Want The Baby'.
When Gossip Cop reached out to the owner of the magazine, Frederic Truskolaski, he said he was shocked that Leo would even bother to sue over the story. "Why would he do this?". He said they weren't sure the story was true but since others had carried something similar, they decided to run with theirs.
"We didn't know if Rihanna was pregnant but 'thought she might be. We were not sure, of course'. he said. He also said he knew they won't win the case but he knows the fine won't be much 'Usually you lose. [The fine] won't be much.'
Leonardo is not just suing because of the report according to GC, he is also suing because the pics of him used violate France's strict right to privacy laws. The case is set to go before a Paris court on June 16.
