Chris Brown deceived by friends who told him Karrueche wanted to get back with him

Chris Brown claims he got burned by friends who told him his ex, Karrueche Tran was dying to get back with - which led to the nightclub blowup that made Chris look like an obsessed ex.

TMZ  reports
Sources close to the former couple tell TMZ ... Chris got a table at Playhouse, right next to Karrueche because their mutual friends told him to do it. The friend network was pumping Chris up ... telling him KT was ready to work things out. So, as you can imagine ... Chris was shocked that night when Karrueche stormed out of the club.
Fact is, Karrueche never told anyone she wants back with Chris. According to our sources, she and Chris figured out the next day that they'd been had. We're told they're cutting off the so-called "friends" behind the conspiracy.
For his part, we're told Chris is fine with moving on ... and wouldn't have gone to Playhouse if he hadn't been set up. It was the first time Chris had seen Karrueche since they broke up over his baby ... and a total disaster.

SSS and Military Personnel Fight Over Who To Protect Buhari

A cold war is brewing among sister security agencies ahead of the relocation of President Muhammadu Buhari to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Since their inauguration on May 29, Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have yet to relocate to the State House, because renovation works going on in their official residences had not been completed. While the President currently operates from Defence House, the official residence of the President-elect, Osinbajo is said to be residing in a private residence.

Ahead of their relocation, however, it was learnt that there is currently an ongoing inter-agency row on who will be in charge of the President’s security.

More prominent, it was learnt, is the cold war between the Nigerian Army and the SSS.

A Presidency source who pleaded anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the issue told Punch that one of the close aides of the President who is a retired military officer had written to the Nigerian Army, the DSS and the Nigeria Police to send a particular number of their men to be saddled with the responsibility of securing the State House.
He said the head of one of the security agencies had refused to take action on the directive because the author of the letter had not been given any formal responsibility by the President.

The official added that trouble started when some officials of the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps. NAIC, were driven into the State House with the instruction that they be deployed in strategic positions, including the President’s office and residence.

He added that the DSS officials on duty at the time denied them access into the State House until when a directive came that they should be allowed in.

The officials of NAIC were said to have taken over from the DSS officials.

The official said, “The NAIC officials were first driven into the Villa in a Coastal bus on Saturday, but they were turned back by officials of the DSS.

“After a series of meetings, we were later told that we should allow them in. So they came in on Sunday while some others joined them on Monday.

“Naturally, it is DSS officials that are always in charge of the President’s inner security. But with this development, it seems they want to change the tradition and use the NAIC guys.

“The talk among operatives is that the development might be political, considering the roles the DSS played in the build up to the 2015 general elections.”

PDP fights APC: Adopts Saraki & Dogara as Senate President and Reps Speaker

The politics of pay-back has began. The Peoples Democratic Party has adopted the leaders of those who have decided to rebel against the APC in the senate, Senator Bukola Saraki as Senate President.

In the same vein, the PDP has also adopted Hon. Yakubu Dogara for the position of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, against the wish and directive of their party, the APC.

To prove its seriousness, the PDP has directed all its Senators and House of Reps members-elect in the new National Assembly to vote for the rebels - Saraki and Dogara.

This information was contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday morning signed by Olisa Metuh, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP.

It was learnt that the PDP met with other members overnight and decided to throw a wrench into any kind of progress that has been made by the APC which has earlier presented Senator Ahmed Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila for the leadership of the National Assembly.

Looks like Saraki and his gang are bent on upsetting the relative peace in the APC.

Military Has Obeyed Buhari's Order, Moves Base To Maiduguri

A week after taking formal orders from President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigeria army headquarters on Monday commenced the process of moving its base to Maiduguri, for more effective tackling of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.

An advance military team led by a two-star General has already arrived Maiduguri, Borno state capital, during the weekend. The team is to commence the establishment of a Military Command and Control Centre (MCCC) tagged operation Zaman Lafiya.

“In compliance with the Presidential pronouncement and the chief of army staff’s directive, a reconnaissance and advance team for the establishment of the Military Command and Control Centre for Operation Zaman Lafiya for fight against terrorism and insurgency has moved to Borno state.

“The team, which is led by a two-star General, has already commenced work in earnest and it is comprised of elements of the office of the Chief of Army Staff, all the relevant Army Headquarters Departments and other combat support components. The centre will serve as a forward command Base for the Chief of Army Staff and other Service Chiefs.
“The Centre is essentially an elaboration of an already existing Army Headquarters Command and Control arrangement. From now on, the fight against terrorism and insurgency would be monitored, coordinated and controlled from the centre. I wish to inform you that it’s establishment would not create another layer of command structure but would add impetus and renewed vigour to Operation Zaman Lafiya, all aimed at bringing terrorism and insurgency to an end. An alternate command centre is also being established in Yola.”

This was revealed to journalists in a statement issued by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, who was part of the advanced team.
