New leader of Boko Haram wants to negotiate with Nigerian govt - Chadian president says

President of Chad, Idriss Deby says Boko Haram, which has terrorized the West African sub region for a while now, is decapitated. He said the sect has a new leader named Muhamat Daoud who is calling for negotiations with the Nigerian government.

He said this yesterday August 11th while speaking to journalist in N'Djamena, Chad on the of the 55th anniversary of Chad’s independence from France

“Boko Haram is decapitated. There are little groups (of Boko Haram members) scattered throughout east Nigeria, on the border with Cameroon.
It is within our power to definitively overcome Boko Haram. The war will be short, with the setting up of the regional force, it will be over by the end of the year. There is someone apparently called Mahamat Daoud who is said to have replaced Abubakar Shekau and he wants to negotiate with the Nigerian government. For my part, I would advise not to negotiate with a terrorist,” he said

Nick Gordon denies drugging Bobbi Kristina

Nick Gordon has denied drugging and having a hand in Bobbi Kristina Brown death following a suit by her guardian claiming he fed Bobbi Kris a lethal cocktail of drugs before submerging her in the bathtub. In a statement to the media Nick Gordon's lawyer Jose Baez insists,

"The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless. Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Man Murders His Lover After Having Three Rounds of Sex

One Richard Effiok, from Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River state has confessed to killing his 23-year-old girlfriend, identified as Bassey Udoh after having a steamy three rounds romp with her…

Effiok, while been paraded along with other suspected criminals by the Cross River State Police Commissioner, Mr Henry Fadairo, at the state police headquarters along Diamond Hill Road, Calabar, confessed to killing Bassey, on May 22, at Nelson Mandela Street in Calabar, Cross River State.
The 30-year-old man said:

“The problem started when I had three rounds of sex with the lady and gave her N1,000 as transport fare back home, but she demanded N5,000. Bassey is my lover. We have been dating for two years. On the day of her death, we had three rounds of sex. I can’t really say if I was tempted by the devil to kill her.
“When she refused to collect the N1,000 that I gave her, we started quarreling and it led to a fight. I brought out a sharp kitchen knife and stabbed her. After stabbing her, she screamed and neighbours broke into my room. They saw her on the ground in a pool of blood. She later died, then neighbours alerted the police.”
“I regret my actions, I wish I did not kill her.”

Majek Fashek, in a press conference held in Abuja yesterday August 10, 2015 – opened up on his addiction to drugs and advised Nigerian youths to stay as far away from drugs as possible – The conference was attended by Charly Boy, Majek’s backup singer, Monica Omorodion Swaida and many more – Read what he said below:

“People should stop the use of alcohol and drugs because being drunk will end up destroying your career and your plans for the future. Coming to the rehab is not a bad idea because I realised that I am addicted to alcohol and it was beginning to affect my output and what I enjoy doing and decided to seek for help. I am not the first singer or person that will go to the rehab; most renowned celebrities we know today go to rehabilitation centres to cool their memory”
“I publicly admitted to addiction to alcohol because so many things are being said about me on the social media and nobody forced me to the rehab. Propaganda of scandal was being monotonous to my generation. I want to run from the stress of Babylon of Africa and I need to be credited for the works I have done.”

The Singer’s doctor, Dr Vincent Udenze about his rehabilitation said:

“Rehabilitation is a long term journey, even if he leaves the centre and goes home, he is still on that journey and that is how we conceptualise rehabilitation.”
