Meet the couple who sleep with their 5 children on the same bed

Bloggers Elizabeth and Tom Boyce, from Texas, US, sleep with their 5 children on the same bed and they said their sex life was better than ever, despite their unconventional sleeping arrangement.
They have built a bed fort that links mattresses for Zach, 11, Izzy, nine, Ben, seven, Owen, three, and baby Elijah, one, with the two parents placed in the middle.

Elizabeth posted a photo of the family bed on Facebook and was suddenly inundated with questions about how it works.
And most of the questions revolved around the couple's sex life.
Elizabeth wrote back:
"I think what it boils down to is your lack of imagination."I am sure you can figure it out.
"In our house, by moving everyone into one room, we suddenly had several other rooms that were completely empty at night and we no longer had small children wandering, crying into our bed in the dark."
She explained that they came up with the idea of a family bed to cope with the chaos of looking after her children as well as husband Tom who is disabled.
She said:
"We just needed sleep. "Tom is disabled and is often sick or needs care at night. "I was up helping him, nursing a baby, putting kids back into their own beds, soothing a toddler woken by other kids... it was a mess! "When we moved everyone together, the toddler got a dark little cave to sleep in
"Our anxious, insomniac 11-year-old had a dark little cave to sleep in. "Our wild sleepers each had their own space and I was still by Tom to help him if he needed it. "Everyone has easy access in and out of their bed. "They get up to pee and get a drink and get back in without an issue.
"Even the baby waking up crying almost never wakes anyone.
"Tom snores, but well, ear plugs do the trick."
Elizabeth said it was "working wonderfully" and following requests from others, she shared a blogpost on how to build the bed fort using Ikea beds.

Please dont let my parents know I am a phone thief – suspect pleads

A suspected telephone thief who was arrested with his accomplice, has pleaded with the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command not to allow his parents find out that he engages in phone theft in Lagos. The suspected phone thieves, Ufoma Asakpa, 22, and Augustine Omedo, 20, were arrested after trying to steal a phone from a shop at Abule-Oja in Yaba on Oct. 13.

When interrogated, one of the suspects who hails from Ndokwa Local Government Area in Delta State, told NAN that his parents must not find out that he was into stealing.
“I was a secondary school dropout. I was unable to proceed to senior classes after I failed Junior WAEC. My parents took me to my brother’s shop to learn how to repair generators but I couldn’t endure the period of apprenticeship. While looking for ways to earn quick money, I met my partner who introduced me to stealing. I joined him about 10 months ago and the police never caught us. In fact, my parents must not know that I am a thief because I leave home every day as if I was going to work. I have regretted my actions for taking to stealing for survival. It is the devil that pushed me into it,’’ he said
His accomplice when interrogated said
“When I entered the shop pretending to buy a sachet of water to cook rice, I saw a phone charging in that shop. I took the phone and switched it off immediately. My partner had also gone to another shop to steal phones too. We had successfully stolen those phones but suddenly, we saw RRS men chasing us. As we were about to mount on our motorcycle, we were crossed and arrested,’’ he said in his confessional statement.
Speaking on their arrest, Rapid Response Squad (RRS) commander, ACP Olatunji Disu, said that the thieves were arrested after they successfully stole three handsets from a shop in the Abule Oja area in Yaba, Lagos.
“Our policemen who were on routine patrol around Yaba axis got a distress call from victims informing them that there were thieves who robbed them of their valuables. The suspects took to their heels but the policemen chased and caught them while they attempted to mount a motorcycle, popularly known as Okada. The duo was conveyed to the squad’s headquarters in Alausa for interrogation. Upon completion of our preliminary investigation, we discovered that the two suspects specialized in stealing phones and other valuable items under the pretence of buying products from any shop they visited. The suspects confirmed that their tricks was to disguise as buyers and once they found out that the seller is sleeping or off their sights, they will pick their phones, money and other valuables,’’ he said
The suspects have confessed to stealing over 70 phones which they sell to a certain man named Alfa. They have both been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the command for further investigation.

2 men who beat gay couple banned from downtown Philadelphia

Two men accused of beating a gay couple on a Philadelphia street last year must stay out of downtown under a plea agreement that spares them prison time.
Philip Williams and Kevin Harrigan apologized as they pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated assault and conspiracy charges. The 24-year-old Williams and 26-year-old Harrigan say the attack wasn't motivated by the couple's sexual orientation.

Harrigan was accused of using slurs to ask if the couple were gay. Zachary Hesse was then punched in the face; Andy Haught suffered a broken jaw and cheekbones.

Williams was banned from downtown Philadelphia for five years while on probation. Harrigan's ban is three years. Each will have to perform 200 hours of community service at an LGBT center.
A third defendant said she'll rather take her chances by going to trial.

Oscar Pistorius to be released from jail on parole next week

After spending just a year in Pretoria's prison, officials say Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius is going home. He was convicted last September of killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp and sentenced to five years in prison. But now he will be placed under house arrest.

Dept of correctional services spokesperson Manelisi Wolela said:
"They considered all factors; the submission, the profile of the offender, the submission of the family of the victim, as well as the recommendations of the parole review board, and took a decision that - with effect from the 20th of October - Oscar Pistorius will be placed under correctional supervision in his own community. From that date up to the time that he finishes his sentence."
Wolela says Pistorius will be not be allowed to have firearms and must undergo psychotherapy. He was found guilty of culpable homicide, when he fired four shots through a locked bathroom door, thinking Steenkamp was actually an intruder. South Africans say they support the decision.
