Police Brutality? Police Murders First Class Graduate in Kaduna

A 30-year-old first class graduate of Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has been killed by a policeman in the course of defending his girlfriend.

The deceased identified as Moses Murtala Aminu, was said to have attended a party last Sunday, and things took a sour turn, when the police constable, Alex Okpe, started beating up the girlfriend of the deceased outside the party venue, and when Moses intervened, the policeman got angered by the altercation that ensued and shot him, where he died on the spot and sensing the death of his victim, Okpe fired shot into the air as he escaped on his motorcycle, Daily Post reports.
However, he has already been arrested by officers attached to the Barnawa Police Division and according tp the Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, Femi Adenaike:

“The suspect is in the cell and we have commenced investigation. And if he is found guilty, we will give him an in-house trial and summary dismissal so that he can face the law for homicide.”
