The vice
presidential candidate of the APC, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has
questioned the academic prowess of President Goodluck Jonathan over his
Wednesday media chat. The president was, while trying to clarify the
statement he made some time ago about corruption, complicated issues
more.
Jonathan said, “Ole (thief in Yoruba) should be called Ole and given
that treatment. Let us communicate properly. The word corruption, we
have abused it.” GEJ said.
But Prof. Osinbajo replied Jonathan: 'Corruption is defined as
‘dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving
bribery'.
"The definition
is simple and we know what it it, yet Mr. President has spent the last
several minutes of his media chat explaining to Nigerians what it is,
suggesting we are all somehow confused about this.
The GEJ presidency has failed Nigerians. The facts are undeniable.”
Jonathan is a PhD holder but many say no one they have not seen his thesis. Osinbajo is a Professor.
