All the stars turn-up for Susan Peters’ Movie Premiere, including Desmond Elliot, Uti Nwachukwu and Eucharia Anunobi

It was a reunion of some sort for Nollywood big names and even other Nigerian celebrities as renowned actress and producer, Susan Peters held the movie premiere of her debut movie ‘Don’t Cry for me”.
The super big event took place at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos on January 2, 2015.
Top celebrities at the event are Uti Nwachukwu, Daniel Lloyd, Lilian Bach, Belinda Effah, Eunice Efole, Praiz, Weird MC, Olu Maintain, Desmond Elliot, Emem Isong, Eucharia Anunobi, Mbong Amata.
The movie featured Joseph Benjamin, Susan Peters, Yvonne Nelson, Melvin Oduah, Mary Lazarus, Yvonne Jegede, Beverly Osu.
The movie was produced by Susan Peters, directed by Desmond Elliot.

Female SS1 student apprehended trying to smuggle grenades into school

Na wa oooh, wonders will truly never end.
In this era of bombings and rising level of insurgency, things like this just scare the public even more.
A senior secondary form one (SS1) student of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, was on Monday apprehended for being in possession of two grenades.
The student, simply identified as Blessing, was apprehended by the school’s security guards who were conducting checks on the students luggage following their resumption for the second term.
According to Thisday, In an attempt to smuggle the bombs into the school, Blessing, who joined the school last September, concealed the bombs inside gari and it took the vigilance of the security men to detect them.
Upon the discovery, she was quickly arrested alongside her father who is said to be a retired Police Inspector from Numan in Adamawa state while the bomb disposal unit at the police headquarters was quickly called in to defuse the bombs.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Joseph Kwaji, said both the girl and her father are under detention while investigation is being conducted into the matter.

Apparently, an Instagram photo of First Daughter Malia Obama is turning heads after it was mysteriously posted on Twitter January 5.

Viewers pondered whether it was meant to be shared on social media or if it was a total mistake. Where was it taken? How did it get past PR if it wasn’t suppose to get out? Does Malia have a secret Instagram account? What filters does the Obama daughter have?

The internet erupted as many say the pose is too sexual for a 16 year old. Honestly, I really see nothing wrong with the photo.

Governor Aliyu Babangida Says: If You Cannot Lie, Get Out of Politics

The kind of things Nigerian politicians say leave you totally perplexed – OK! so that’s how the Governor of Niger state, Aliyu Babangida, recently made it clear that, LIES and POLITICS go hand in hand, stressing what a certain Rivers State governor said late last year, that there is no morality in politics. Aliyu Babangida, while inaugurating the PDP guber campaign committee in Minna, Niger state capital yesterday January 5th, said:

“If you cannot lie, get out of politics. Anything you are involved in has its own rule. You are in politics to win, win first and let other things follow. Don’t be the one crying louder; lest you will be the one ‎they will take to court. If you are talking of honesty or morals, go and become an Imam or pastor. Politics cannot be the way it used to be.
“The challenges are more now, the variables have changed, the issues that we are going to face in 2015 are different from the ones we faced in 1999 and we must bear this in mind. Our society is not as grateful as it used to be, the values and morals have gone down. If you want to win, use the modern morality. We have worked for the people. Politics is not about sadaka (giving alms), politics reminds people of what you have done. Go out and remind the people of what we have done.”

Superstar rapper, Ludacris got married to his longtime girlfriend Eudoxie on Christmas Eve just hours after proposing.
The new couple shared the photos on their IG’s.
According to TMZ;
“Luda popped the question to long time GF Eudoxie during the day … then took her out to dinner at a Georgia restaurant. When they returned home, a wedding dress was draped over a piece of furniture.  This was all a surprise to Eudoxie, but she was game so they got married on the spot. A few friends and family members were there to celebrate,” sources said.)

Still one of my favorite stand-up comics of all time, Hollywood actor and comedian, Chris Rock has stirred some controversy.
Days ago, he made a comment that made a lot of African American women upset and they have been letting him have it on Twitter.
He was accused of saying something awful about his own mother and black women everywhere in a bid for an Oscar nomination.
He made the statement while speaking at the Variety Creative Impact Awards and.
Here’s what he said below:
“Comedies never get nominated. So I’m going to blatantly appeal to the voters. February 22 is my mother’s birthday. 70th birthday. If I’m nominated, I will take her to the Oscars. If not, I will take her to Fatburger. We don’t need another Black woman at Fatburger. So please vote for me.”
Well i seriously don’t think he meant it the way the women think, it’s just talk.
The comedian is said to be worth around a whooping  $70million.

South African tabloid furious at Nigerians improper description of D’banj’s alleged new boo

Well pardoned us!! It seems like South Africans are pissed that we didn’t reference the lady alleged to be dating D’banj, by her full title.
A South African blogger, Sibongile Mafu is not happy with the with the way Nigerian tabloids are reporting D’banj and South African beauty queen, Bonang Matheba dating rumors.
A very angry Sibongile Mafu took to Twitter to address the issue saying: ‘Bonang is referred to as D’Banj’s ‘pretty South African girlfriend’ by these Nigerian tabloids. Do they not know our queen?’
For those who don’t know, Bonang is South Africa’s favorite media personality. She is a radio host, TV presenter and style icon – she is known for her electric personality, husky voice and magnetic smile.
She’s also a brand ambassador for Revlon cosmetic.
