Boko Haram Returns, Kills More In Another Deadly Attack

These bad guys are still out to draw blood. No fewer than 20 people were feared killed in a renewed attack by dreaded Boko Haram on Ajiya Wagga village in Madagali LGA in northern Adamawa state.

The insurgents attacked Sabongari town leading to the death of one person while six women were abducted. A fleeing resident of Ajiya Wagga, Timothy Wagra, said the insurgents struck in the middle of the night while the villagers were asleep and started shooting sporadically, in the process killing many.
“Many people are still in the bush as they fear another attack by the gunmen while some fled to neighbouring villages.”

Reports say many villagers have sustained various degrees of injuries and are being evacuated to hospitals for proper medical attention. The council chairman Maina Ularamu confirmed the incident.
“At least ten people were killed during the attack,” he said. “The insurgents arrived the village around midnight on Saturday and shot several people.”

Spokesman of the Adamawa State police command, Othman Mohammed, said the police command is on top of the situation and will furnish the media with more information as they come in.

Nigerian who fled to Australia & became a successful model jailed after police lured him to London with fake photoshoot

30 year old Nigerian successful model Ben Fiberesima, skipped bail in the UK, fled to Australia where he lived for seven years under a false name, modeled for Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, boasted of jet set lifestyle, wrote a self-help book, called himself a millionaire, claimed he was in the Great Gatsby and bragged about being an 11-time underground rap battle champion. The fugitive was arrested after police lured him to a fake swimwear photoshoot in London. Read full story after the cut

From UK Evening Standard
A gangster who launched a successful career as a male model and musician while on the run in Australia has been snared in an extraordinary police sting.
Fugitive Ben Fiberesima, 30, appeared in campaigns by fashion designers such as Tom Ford after skipping bail while facing trial on fraud and weapons charges in London seven years ago. He also performed as a critically-acclaimed rap artist under the name Roky Million, releasing singles and videos downloaded by tens of thousands of fans.
The gang member from South Kilburn was picked as one of the first people to trial the “Google Glass” for a style magazine, and in a self-help book published last year claimed he was “worth seven figures by the age of 26”.
His jetset lifestyle - which he claimed also included hanging out with supermodels and stars of Aussie soap Home and Away - ended when Met detectives swooped last year using an elaborate sting to detain him.

Officers from Brent’s Wanted Offenders Unit received an anonymous tip-off that Fiberesima was back in London in August living under a false name but were unable to locate him.

Then detectives discovered he was on the books of a respected models agency based in Covent Garden.

An officer contacted the agency claiming to represent the fake company WOU Photography and booked Fiberesima for a casting call to model a range of luxury swimwear.
When he arrived for what he thought was his next assignment at the studio in Kentish Town, Fiberesima was arrested at the door.

Fiberesima was jailed for three years and nine months after being found guilty of two counts of theft, two counts of making false representation and possessing an offensive weapon at Harrow Crown Court earlier this month.

He also pleaded guilty to three counts of making false representation and one count of possessing a prohibited weapon.

Fiberesima was originally arrested in September 2008 after calling police claiming someone was attempting to enter his flat in Christchurch Avenue, Brondesbury, north-west London.
When officers arrived, there was no intruder but they did find a stun gun, a can of CS gas and stolen chequebooks belonging to a neighbour.

He was arrested and charged with fraud, theft and possession of an offensive weapon
The gang member from the South Kilburn estate was granted bail but failed to appear at court and was subsequently discovered to have fled the country.

Fiberesima’s Established Models biography claims: “Raised in London Roky used his talent for rhyming to be crowned UK Underground rap battle champion 11 times. He has travelled extensively modelling for international brands including Calvin Klein, Nike, Tom Ford and YSL.”

It also states that “Roky appeared in Baz Luhrman’s film, The Great Gatsby” although the Standard was unable to find his name in the film’s credits.
During his time on the run, Fiberesima published a self-help book called Roky’s Power Gain 50 – Rules To Live By To Gain Power, Money and Influence.

He said he had gone from “working class to millionaire in 15 months”, writing: “I grew up in government housing and have been for 80 per cent of my life. I am now worth seven figures at age 26. I used my in depth knowledge of power to change my fortunes.”
The last message on his Twitter feed, posted in December last year, said: “To all: Roky’s in the 5% of rappers that can genuinely be described as ‘real’ so as is life he’ll be away til further notice #management.”

In one interview for an online fashion magazine Fiberesima talks of how he started travelling the world at the age of 23 and visited countries including France, Belgium, Spain and Australia while he modelled for designers including Calvin Klein, Tom Ford and Yves Saint Laurent.
He declares : “I have had ups and downs, trials and tribulations, like everyone else” and said in his youth he mixed with gang members but had since changed his life.
He added: “ I keep it as honest as I can.”

Detective Inspector Pete Wallis of Brent CID said: “There is clear message here, that we will not forget you if you offend, and we will explore all options in tracing you and bringing you to justice.
“Mr Fiberesima used false identities to evade capture for five years and developed a very public persona in Australia and internationally as a rap artist and model.

“Thankfully he is now paying for his crimes, due to the perseverance of Brent’s Wanted Offenders Unit.”
A spokesman for Established Models said he had been on their books as Mr Million for a few months two years ago. He said : “He was not working, so we let him go. “

Woman tried to rape sleeping man after breaking into his home at night

Description

Nothing person will not hear in this life…lol. So, 28 year old Chantae Marie Gilman (pictured above) tried to rape a sleeping man after breaking into his apartment during the middle of the night.
Chantae admitted attempted rape and assault charges but said she didn’t know the victim and has no recollection of what happened. The mum-of-three, who claims she suffers from bipolar disorder and psychosis, climbed into the victim’s bed while he was sleeping.

A police office handling the case said “Once arriving home he fell asleep on his bed (and) slept very hard due to a long day.”
The victim told police he woke at 2am to find Gilman, who weighs nearly 16 stone, on top of him having sex, while holding his hands above his head.
He then demanded Gilman get off and leave, but she refused and told him to be quiet, according to the police report.
The man, whose identity is protected, then managed to wriggle free and kick her out of the apartment after the attack in June, 2013.
Gilman, from Washington, US, carried on knocking on the door but the victim refused to open it and she soon left. Later that day he visited the police station in Seattle, Washington, before undergoing a full sexual assault examination, where officers extracted Gilman’s DNA.

FG asks Bayelsa CJ to swear in Wike May 29

Mr. Nyesom Wike
The Federal Government has requested the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State to administer the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office on the Rivers State Governor-elect, Chief Nyesom Wike, on May 29, 2015.
The request was contained in a press statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Abuja by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Adoke (SAN).
Adoke said the request became necessary because of the existing vacuum in the Office of the Chief Judge of Rivers State as well as the Office of the President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the state.
He said the vacuum had made strict compliance with requirements of Section 185(1) and (2) of the 1999 Constitution under which Wike should be sworn in virtually impossible.
The minister said in order to avert a likely constitutional crisis in the state on May 29 when Wike was expected to be sworn in as governor, he had requested the Bayelsa CJ to carry out the exercise in accordance with Section 185 (2) of the Constitution.
He said the section provides that “the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Office shall be administered by the Chief Judge of the state or Grand Khadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal of the state, if any, or President of the Customary Court of Appeal of the state, if any, or the person for the time being respectively appointed to exercise the functions of any of those offices in any state.”
“The general public, particularly the government and people of Rivers State, are hereby invited to take note of this development and appreciate the fact that the invitation extended to the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State to administer the Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office on the Governor-elect of Rivers State on May 29, 2015 is in accordance with the Constitution and should therefore be respected by all and sundry,” Adoke added.

Nigerian students, Nasa Chinasa and Cosy Linda were scammed alongside two Ghanaians, Reverend Daniel and Reverend Osama, and an Indian student identified as Rose, by a real estate agent in india
Two Nigerian students are among four foreign students allegedly duped by a real estate agent and his aide in India.
According to a report by Times of India, the Nigerian students, Nasa Chinasa and Cosy Linda were scammed alongside two Ghanaians, Reverend Daniel and Reverend Osama, and an Indian student identified as Rose.
The agent, Punit Nandwani, collected several sums totalling 278,000 Indian Rupees (about N866,000) from the students.
He was contracted to secure suitable flats for them.
But Nandwani disappeared and switched off his cell phone after collecting their monies and has since been on the run.
Chinasa, a second-year Bachelor of Arts student at a city college, then reported the case to officers at the Kondhwa police station.
Sub-inspector Nitin Atkare, confirmed the incident on Monday.
"Nandwani was staying in a rented flat in Undri. He had offered this flat on rent to three of the students, pretending to be the property's owner," he said.
"He had shown another flat on NIBM Road to the two other students."
Atkare said a police team visited Nandwani's residence and found it locked.
"We are working on clues and will arrest the real estate agent and his aide as soon as possible," he added.
Police are still investigating the matter.

7 things good mothers do for their children which I'll never do again - Writer says

One mother says it is not good for mothers to be patient and saintly towards their children.

Mother and daughter and their babes. Mother and daughter and their babes.
(Ear Hustle)
Our mothers  are the best because it's not easy to patiently take of anyone from birth till adulthood. However, one mother says it is not good for mothers to be patient and saintly towards their children. She feels they'll be fine if they are brought up in a stricter environment where things are done the way they should be without pleasing anyone.
Leigh Anderson of YourTango lists these seven things that good moms do for their kids
  1. Bathe the kids every day. Children, unless they've been rolling in the mud, do not need a bath every day. In the summer I rinse off sand, sweat and sunscreen pretty much daily, but in the winter it just makes their skin dry and rashy. Twice-a-week baths are fine and save me the soggy wrestling match that is washing a screaming toddler and preschooler.
  2. Do an elaborate bedtime routine. Literally everyone told us we needed to do a bedtime routine. Bath, infant massage, dim lights while nursing—this was bad enough and clocked in at about an hour. Now, with our 4-year-old, more rituals have crept in, like: 1) sing a song; 2) read three books; 3) listen to Freight Train Boogie; 4) dance; 5) play a game he and daddy made up, called "crashies," in which I always get injured; 6) a good-night "wrestle" with his brother; 7) tooth-brushing; 8) a game called "burrito" in which he is rolled in a blanket, then unrolled like Cleopatra at Caesar's feet; 9) prayers; 10) a dozen good-night hugs and kisses in a specific order and if we mess up we have to start over; 11) one more drink of water; 12) one more pee; 13) one more drink of water. The bedtime routine starts at 3:45. In the interest of recapturing those hours, I'm eliminating all but tooth-brushing and prayers, which, mumbled at high speed while inching towards the cocktail cabinet, are more true to my Episcopalian faith anyway.
  3. Buy organic. I've spent the last five years standing in the fruit aisle debating whether to spend $2 for an organic apple or 50 cents for a regular one, and then, confused, I buy no apple at all. I am just not going to worry about it anymore. It's better that they eat fruits and vegetables than not, and we can’t spend $200 a week on apples.
  4. Force my kids to eat vegetables. With my first child, we forced him to eat a certain number of bites of his dinner to get dessert. This resulted in bargains and negotiations and debates over exactly how much food on the fork counted as a "bite." (It was a little like arguing how many angels can fit on the head of a pin.) By the time my second arrived, we started following Ellyn Satter's division of responsibility, which makes meals a lot more peaceful. I mean, mostly. My son sat down at the table the other night, looked at what I'd made, and said, "This looks like an old head." So yeah, it's not all wine and roses, but at least I’m not squabbling about whether counts as a bite.
  5. Be eternally patient. I try so, so hard to control my temper. But sometimes, one child is repeatedly pressing the "Oh Susannah" button on his music machine, the phone is ringing and I can't find it, the oatmeal is burning, and the other child is experimenting with asking questions in a barely audible voice. (Remember the scene in The Office when Michael Scott negotiates for a raise by speaking very softly? This is what my son is doing.) And then sometimes I lose my temper. But the thing is—it's not good for children to have infinitely patient, saintly mothers, because the world is not infinitely patient and saintly. Normal people lose their shit at too much loud-noise stimulus and burgeoning stove fires and a child requesting a cheese stick without moving his lips. It's good for kids to recognize the incipient stages of someone losing their shit. This will serve them well in the world.
  6. Have a perfectly clean house. A friend recently said, "I wish I had known that motherhood is really just becoming a cleaning lady." And it's true. I clean the kitchen four times a day. I scrape things off the floor with my fingernails. I pick up so many little balled-up socks. But now—partly because I hate to clean, and partly because I think kids, especially boys, shouldn't think that someone is always going to pick up after them—I've started a gentle insistence that they put their clothes in the hamper with no intermediate stop on the floor, that they return their bath toys to the basket, and that they help out with weekly dusting and vacuuming. It would be quicker to do it myself, and the house isn’t especially clean, but I hate feeling like a martyr. I’d rather have a slightly dirty house than be a servant, and eventually they’ll learn that small daily efforts are better for housekeeping than quarterly fumigations.
  7. Spend all weekend with my kids. The No. 1 thing I miss about singledom is time alone at home, to non-productively putter. So we're starting a half-day-off policy; like the servants in Downton Abbey, we each get from 8 a.m. to noon, once a week, with no kids, work, or chores/responsibilities. The other parent takes the kids out of the house.

Nick Gordon is still begging both the Brown and Houston families to visit his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina.
Despite pursuing rights through the courts to visit so-called wife and finishing his stay in rehab, Gordon has yet to receive permission to see his sleeping beauty.
Whitney Houston's adopted son claims to have stopped his drug use immediately after finding Kristina in her bathtub on January 31, and with the help of Dr. Phil McGraw – even succeeded in completing a rehab program for his issues with Xanax.
But three months after Kristina's demise, Nick is yet to sit by her hospital bed. On May 7, he tweeted, ''I could never give up. I love you.''
According to Gordon’s lawyer Randall M. Kessler, the 25-year-old is seeking permission from both the Browns and the Houstons to visit his beau.
But given the fact that he is also been investigated for what really happened to Kristina, it may take Nick a longer time to see his baby girl.
