NDLEA CriesOut -More married women getting into drug abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has decried the increasing involvement of married women in drug abuse. According to Daily Trust. the Assistant Superintendent in charge of Exhibits at the Sokoto State Command, Ali Baba Mustapha, said this at the Jigawa Day celebration organised by indigenes of the state at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto yesterday.

He said women took cough syrups that contained codeine believing that it would enhance their sexual appetite. Mustapha warned that if unchecked, this trend could generate into marital crisis and even divorce. He dismissed the belief that cough syrups enhances sexual appetite.

Police Arrests Man with Explosives at Nairobi Mall

Kenyan police has arrested a man for attempting to bomb the popular and newly constructed, Garden City Mall in Nairobi. The Mall was evacuated earlier today after police discovered three explosive devices.  A bomb disposal squad carried out controlled explosions of the devices.

He was overpowered by security guards as he tried to enter the newly-opened Garden City shopping mall. Explosives were then discovered in his bag. The shopping centre was evacuated and it was destroyed on the scene in a controlled explosion by the Kenyan police bomb disposal unit.

It is believed to have been a small explosive device with a battery and a mobile phone attached, which could have been used as a trigger. The man is being held by police who said he did not have any papers on him.

Woman traumatised after finding out her boyfriend of 2-yrs was a woman with prosthetic penis

The accused

A woman tearfully told a court the moment she discovered her 'boyfriend' was a female friend using a fake penis when they had sex.

The Mirror reports that , she told the court how Gayle Newland masterminded the bizarre relationship, ordering her  to wear a blindfold and scarf during a five month period of intercourse.

The 25-year-old wore a swimming costume, wrapped her body in bandages and put a woolly hat on during their love trysts to keep up the disguise, it is alleged.

She said in tears....

"He got to mine and something felt different.“We had sex and while I was having sex I grabbed for the back of his head and my hand got caught in something.

Something did not feel right and I sat up in the bed.He was standing up and something in my mind said, ‘pull it off, pull it off.’I pulled it off and Gayle was standing there with a strap-on on.I just couldn't believe it.Straight away as soon as I pulled it off she pulled her hat over her face. “She said, 'it is not what you think.I said, ‘you have got a strap-on in your bag. How can it not look like what it is?"'

  "I know it sounds pathetic, but I was just so happy at the time because I was in love with this person and we’d built this beautiful relationship.It was just based on, you know, our minds and all the other things that we had in common so I just felt grateful that I’d finally got a proper relationship.

The accused denies five counts of sexual assault by penetration, and insists the woman knew she was a woman and they were playing along to a consensual fantasy.

Photos: British Airway plane bursts into flames on runway at Las Vegas Airport

A British Airways flight bound for London Gatwick was taxiing on the tarmac at McCarran Airport on Tuesday night when it suddenly caught fire. Those on board were forced to jump down the evacuation slides and run away from the blaze. The plane was preparing for take off and only  two people taken to a local hospital for treatment after suffering minor injuries. There were 159 passengers and 13 crew members on board at the time. It is not yet known what caused the fire..

We’ll never hang Buhari’s portrait in our offices –PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party has refused to hang the official portrait of President Muhammadu Buhari at the party’s national secretariat.

Over 100 days after the President assumed office, the PDP has yet to hang his portrait at any of the offices in its Wadata House national secretariat, located at Zone 5, Abuja.

The party has also said it would never put Buhari’s portraits on its walls though it has removed that of the former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, who ruled on the platform of the PDP.National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, told  a Punch correspondent on the telephone on Tuesday.

“We will never hang his portrait in this office, because President Buhari is not known to our party.

He is not a leader of our party and therefore we will never put his portrait here. We are a political party, very partisan and therefore, we are not going to hide that,” 

“Can you find out if the APC had the portrait of former President Jonathan in their office before he was defeated? That is just it,”

When asked whether the party was taking its own pound of flesh, Metuh said no but that since Buhari “is not a member of our party, we won’t put his portrait here.”

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Lai Mohammed, expressed shock at Metuh’s comment.

“This is ridiculous and we have no comment. Let Nigerians judge the PDP on this matter,” Mohammed said.

He said the PDP spokesman had a shallow understanding of the concept of opposition politics.

Couple Are Still Eating Their Wedding Cake – 60 YEARS After Getting Married

Because its my job to bring you all the weird news from around the world, it doesn’t mean I don’t get surprised every once in a while by the news I bring you – So, a couple(photo above) who have been married for 60 solid years still have their wedding cake, which was made in Aug, 1955…

According to UK Mirror:

Ann and Ken Fredericks have been married for 60 years after tying the knot in New York in 1955, and admit that they still have some of the original cake left.
The dark fruit cake was made by Ann’s grandmother, especially for their marriage ceremony on August 19.
And now, each year, on their anniversary, Ann and Ken take out a little bit of the cake to enjoy alongside a bottle of Champagne.
The pair reckon the cake has never spoiled, and simply needs a drop of brandy every so often to keep it moist.
Ann, who lives with her husband in Satellite Beach, Florida, told Florida Today: “I have to say it’s dry, tastes a little dry but it tastes like cake.”
“Little bit of Brandy never hurt anybody.”
Mr Fredericks added: “Maybe that’s the reason we’ve been around so long.”
And according to the couple, there’s no secret to storing the cake either, it is simply put into a tin and placed in a kitchen cupboard

Kim K Says She Might Have Her Womb Removed After Second Baby

Kim Kardashian, in September issue of C Magazine, tagged ‘Unfiltered’ revealed that she might have her womb removed after she gives birth to her second baby…
The 34-year-old reality TV star revealed that her doctors ‘think I’ll have placenta accreta again, so if the placenta grows a little bit deeper than it did last time, then they are prepared to have my uterus removed, which is a little scary for me’. Excerpts from the interview below:

On being selective with projects: “I used to do anything and everything. When a brand would come to me and it sounded like a good deal, I would do it. But I see how my husband [Kanye West] doesn’t do anything unless he is in control and believes in it—I was doing anything just to do it, and I had to take a step back.”
On what she wanted to be when she was younger: “When I was 12 or 13 I would tell my best friend that we had to be on The Real World. It had just come out and I was like, ‘When we are 18 we have to make audition tapes.’ And I remember she said, ‘We’re not going to make tapes, we are going to have my dad call,’ because her dad was a manager in the business. Then she said, ‘I don’t want to be on a show but I’ll be your manager.’ And now she is in the management business and I’m working on a reality show with the same production company that does The Real World.”
On the criticism of her pregnancy style the first time around: “It was the worst! I couldn’t help it, and everyone would say, ‘She can’t stop eating.’ I delivered at 180, and they were like, ‘She’s 210 pounds. She’s getting dumped because she’s too fat’ and all these ridiculous stories. It really took a toll after the fact, when I was losing weight. I gained 50 pounds, and it’s tough to get it off. I was dedicated, but also, it changed the way I viewed wanting my picture taken. Before I was always smiling, and so into being out and about. After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn’t control. I don’t want to smile for them. I don’t want to be out. Even if I was more confident, I just didn’t feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo. It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot.”

Teenage Sisters to Be Raped as Punishment Because Their Brother Ran Off With a Married Woman

In the course of the job, I have observed that the weirdest things happen in Asia – If not, how to you explain that a 23-year-old her 15-year-old sisters were paraded naked with blackened faces and have been sentenced to be raped as punishment because their brother ran off with a married woman?????????…

According to the repot, an unelected all-male village council in India ordered that 23-year-old Meenakshi Kumari and her 15-year-old sister are paraded naked with blackened faces – And also be raped as punishment for their brother’s crime.
According to news site Zee Media:

The sisters’ brother Ravi fell in love with a girl from the Jat caste, a higher social caste than Ravi and his family, who are Dalit, once known as the ‘untouchables’, who are at the bottom of India’s caste system.
The Jat woman’s family married her off to someone else in February but she later escaped and eloped with Ravi in March.
As punishment, on July 31 a village council decided Ravi’s sisters should be raped to avenge his actions.

The horrific order was revealed by Amnesty International which said the sisters and their family have fled their village in the Baghpat district, just outside of Delhi – Sumit Kumar, another brother of Meenakshi, told Amnesty that members of the Jat caste were powerful members of the village council, saying: “The Jat decision is final.”
In an appeal, Amnesty said:

“Unelected village councils such as this are widespread in parts of India.
“More often than not they are made up of older men from dominant castes, who prescribe rules for social behaviour and interaction in villages.
“Nothing could justify this abhorrent punishment. It’s not fair. It’s not right. And it’s against the law.”

Man With ‘World’s Longest Penis’ Says Women Are Too Afraid To Have Sex With Him

A man who claims he has the world’s largest penis says women are too scared to have sex with him – Super-endowed Roberto Esquivel Cabrera also claims his manhood is actually a disability that leaves him unable to work.
