Nigerian Man Nabbed in Ghana for Impersonating Ghanian Actor, Majid Michel

You all know Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel lost his mom recently, well this Nigerian man, identified as Kelvin Ogodogu decided to cash in on the situation but unfortunately, he was nabbed by the police.

Media reports have it that, Kelvin was arrested while trying to dupe unsuspecting fans and solicit for money for the burial of the late actor’s mum, and this became known after he defrauded a US-based lady of some money, supposedly meant for Majid’s mum’s funeral.
Majid, while addressing newsmen, revealed that he only got to know of the scam, when he attended an event in the US, where he coincidentally met the white lady, Ikay and she approached him about their chats on the social media and according to Majid, the lady said that he (Majid) informed her of his mother’s death and requested for $5,000, which she was willing to send.
Also, he found out that, a Canadian woman had also been duped close to $30,000, and when the Ghanaian police conducted investigations, they were able to get hold of the criminal, while he was trying to retrieve the money from Western Union.
