Stop Calling Me GAY!!! Actor Benson Okonkwo

Recall that Nollywood actor, who said, the only crime he committed is being too fine? Benson Okonkwo, yeah!!! Well in a recent interview with PUNCH, has stated his frustration, about every one calling him ‘Gay’, and twisting interviews he grants:

“Most times, when I grant interviews to blogs, the subject is always twisted out of context. Most of those commenting on those blogs would say that I am gay. Maybe, it is because of the roles I have played in some movies.”
They should understand that I am only acting and the roles have nothing to do with my personality. I get embarrassed when people mistake the part I play in a movie for reality and call me a gay. And to think that I have always said that I am not gay! It really hurts.”.
“I am not bothered by what people are saying about me. To be honest with you, if I felt that the comments were a big problem to me, I would have stopped granting interviews long ago. What my critics don’t know is that I have a steady girlfriend. But I won’t talk about her”

Sorry bro, maybe you should act less gay roles or what do you think????

Shocking video of man brutally beating a woman with a huge chunk of wood

OMG! The brutal assault of a woman by a man in Brazil has gone viral online. The very disturbing 35 second video showing the man beating a screaming woman repeatedly with a huge chunk of wood was posted to Youtube a few days ago. The poster said it happened in Brazil but didn't say who the victim and attacker were. Though some comments suggested that she's his partner.

Now people are trying to identify the attacker so the police can have him arrested. I hope same thing happens to him. Animal! See the shocking video after the cut...

Supreme Court reinstates impeached Taraba Deputy governor

Former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Sanni Danladi, who was impeached by the state House of Assembly in October 2012 under questionable circumstances has been reinstated as the new governor of the state by the Supreme court of Nigeria. Alhaji Danladi served as the deputy governor of the state under Dambaba Suntai who is now very ill. 

Delivering its judgement today, the Supreme Court led by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, ruled that the impeachment panel set up by the House of Assembly to investigate all the allegations leveled against Danladi did not give him fair hearing as he was not given any opportunity to speak for himself during any of the panels proceedings. 

 

The panel also failed to honor a court injunction secured by the deputy governor challenging its composition.

The Supreme court held that there seemed to be conspiracy between both the Taraba State High Court and the impeachment panel. The court ruled that be immediately reinstated as Governor.

A year later one half of the duo KCee made return to mainstream music with hits after hits like Limpopo, Pull Over, and Okpete, and the big question on the lips of everyone was,

The first news was his new mouth-watering deal with Eric Manny records, owned by top Igbo billionaire, Okwudili Umenyiora, owner of Dilly Motors and then the Akwa –Ibom state born entertainer officially dropped his first come back song which he titled ‘Olegelege’. While fans and pundits were still warming up to the new song, Presh jeted out to South Africa where he went to shoot a multi-million naira video for his new love song titled ‘International Lady’. The video was shot by ace cinematographer Sesan Ogunro at choice locations in South Africa, and since it’s release, it’s been receiving rave reviews online as well as enjoying massive airplay on radio. 

For those who don’t know, Presh is a multi-award winning artiste, he came into limelight when they won the much coveted Star Quest prize in 2002, Channel O Award winner in 2008, he’s a Kora Award nominee and has won countess awards within the Nigerian music industry.

Little wonder his new smash hit tune ‘I no go lie’ featuring pop Diva Tiwa Savage is the current buzzing sound and talk of the industry. In this new melodic tune, Presh deliverers a sweet chorus and perfectly blended verses that affirms his talent as a singer and songwriter of international repute. The Sesan Ogunro directed video for ‘I no go lie’ features the two artistes in flashy scenes with an easy to understand story line.

By all standards, the second coming of Presh is surely living up to expectations as he keeps upping the standards with every song  he drops, and he doesn’t seem to slowing down any time soon. Word has it that Presh Hit the studio with African No.1 artist “OBO” himself to dish out another hit.

Eminem vs Iggy Azalea: Another Rap Battle Underway???

First it was Snoop Dogg, now its Eminem, only God knows what this rapper chick, Iggy Azalea has done to these male rappers that make them diss her in turns. Eminem’s recently released song, had some part where he said he would love to rape Iggy, and the female rapper has also replied him (in a tweet):

According to Em, in the song, he said;

“So swallow my pride, you’re lucky just to follow my ride / If I let you run alongside the Humvee / Unless you’re Nicki, grab you by the wrist, let’s ski / So what’s it gon’ be / Put that shit away, Iggy / You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me.”

Nike Oshinowo explains why she started a late night TV talk-show

Of all the things I thought she would venture into, a TV talk show wasn't one of them. The ex-beauty queen, 47, recently unveiled her show, Late Night with Nike Oshinowo, which will feature interviews with politicians, celebs etc, set to premiere next week. Nike explains the reason behind the show...

"I like TV. I like watching precisely the kind of show that I am doing now. I want one show which gives me everything from current affairs to the happening music, movies as well as stars that are doing well like Genevieve, Omotola, while at the same time watching conversations with politicians, business leaders without having to change the channel - LNWNO is that show. I have a sense of humour. I also have a strong opinion which will be seen on the show.
