THIEVES IN THE SANCTUARY PART TWO

Thou therefore which teachest another; teachest not thyself? Thou that preachest a man should not steal, does thou steal? Romans 2:21 Read: 1st Samuel 2:12-17, (KJV)
2:12 Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord. 2:13 And the priest's custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in
seething, with a flesh hook of three teeth in his hand; 2:14 And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or
caldron, or pot; all that the flesh hook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither. 2:15 Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw. 2:16 And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.
2:17 Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
MESSAGE
The worst of all thieves in the church are the ministers who take the tithes, offerings and the first-fruits collected from member for their personal use. You hear them say, “He who serves at the Altar must eat from the Altar.” As true as this statement may be, custodians of the Lord’s sanctuary should be wary of greed and the love of money. 1st Timothy 6:10-11 says: “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee all things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love patience, meekness.”
In the Bible reading , the children of Eli corrupted the people’s sacrifice through greed.
Unfortunately, the same thing is happening today; some ministers of God, through greed, have made the tithes, offerings and first-fruits that people bring to the sanctuary unacceptable to God. Sometimes, members of the congregation suspect this foul play and begin to ask the ministers in charge what they use their tithes and offerings for. Though the ministers should be accountable to God through men, however, the tithes and offerings become an abomination before the Lord when the givers monitor it to the extent of wanting to know what God does with it. This is the reason some people claim to be paying their tithes and offerings and there is nothing to show for their giving. In Matthew 6:3-4, Jesus Christ said: “But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.”
It is dangerous when brethren are not being encouraged or motivated to give more because they do not have anything to show for their previous giving. This happens when they begin to develop a negative attitude towards the way their pastors handle the finances of the Church. Some people leave their local assembly to go and pay their tithes and offerings elsewhere. This is counterproductive. Hence, the ministers handling
God’s assets must be very careful. They must not become thieves in the sanctuary. The Lord enjoins us to fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life whereunto we have been called, and keep away from the love of this world. If it is dangerous to rob God by not paying our tithes and offering, it is deadly to steal out of the one that the brethren are faithfully contributing for the advancement of the Kingdom business. We must learn from the children of Eli and the children of Samuel himself (1st Samuel 8:1-5).
Prayer Point
Father, please deliver me from the demon called
mammon and don’t let me end up like Judas
Iscariot.

NIGERIAN ECONOMY AND FINANCES

It is no longer news that financial noose has been tightened around the neck of Nigeria economy.
In a time of Change, there is the need for attitudinal twist to avert being swept away by sudden economic tide.
1. If you are an applicant take the next available offered job even if it is below your dream job.
2. Buy only items that are considered as necessities. Postpone all luxurious articles till later dates.
3. Forget about living a life to satisfy others' expectation at the expense of your purse, income or convenience.
4. Avert taking unnecessary risk in your place of work or business that has the possibility of making you loose your job or major client.
5. Be committed to your profession, job or business more than ever before.
6. Re-evaluate your recurrent expenditure pattern like children school fees and effect necessary changes if found beyond your income line.
7. If you are blessed with many cars try and use those with less fuel consumption capacity. You may have to combine outings instead of members of the family taking different cars out for combinable outings.
8. Except you can afford it, resist all Aso Ebi or color of clothes made mandatory by a person inviting you to a ceremony. Nobody will prevent you from entering the venue even with odd dress.
9. Avert social functions that will tell terribly on your finances in terms of distance and the content of the Programme. Why not just send 'envelope' to the organizer instead.
10. Let those asking you for money know that things are no longer the same: stop pretending at your expense. Stop suffering in silence. When the chips are down you will be alone.
11. Notwithstanding any promise to the contrary, avoid lending money to anyone an amount which if you don't receive on time will hurt your financial stability. Many friendly loans will be irrecoverable now as many expectation will be dashed.
12. If you are a tenant living in a rented palatial apartment with many rooms left unutilized, it is high time you get a smaller accommodation.
13. Where the house is yours and most of your children are adult leaving you and your spouse in a big apartment with less than half of the house being utilized, quickly consider modifying the house into smaller units with the possibility of earning rental income.
14. Plan only on funds at hand, avoid permutations based on promise made by others. In a time like this, the promisor may fail.
15. Where it is possible, talk things over on phone with people rather than putting your car on the road for physical meeting. In addition avoid endless fruitless banters on phone. Be conscious of the call card cost and data usage.
16. If you have a large retinue of hangers-on around you reduce the frequencies of meals.
17. Shut all lights that are not required in your house to minimize the energy bills.
18. Do more physical exercise to minimize constant requirement of drugs. Learn to trek short distances, it helps to improve your health and relive you of avoidable small expenses.
19. If the regular food in your house is becoming dearer look for alternative. For instance yam is a substitute for bread in the morning
20. If you will bear heavy responsibility in an event, insist on moderate programme in line with the amount you could afford, you could save some finances. For more gist visit nigeriantopsecret.blogspot.com

A Generation of Young Christians:

_1. We are always right and we never *accept correction*. A corrector is seen as an enemy._
*2.* We love to sing in Church, but *do not read our Bible* at home.
*3.* We are full of *lust, sensuality and emotions* and we call it love.
*4.* We want to have wonderful marriages, but by the time we are 25 years we've already spent almost ten years in relationships. Sometimes, we may have had *more* boy lovers and girl lovers than even our parents.
*5.* Sexual activities are *now part of our relationships* calling it romance.
*6.* We want to be rich in life, meanwhile, we *spend all our finances on the latest ipads, iphone, laptops, cameras, smartphones, etc,* which in many cases we uses less than 30% of their functions.
*7.* We do not pay our *tithes and offerings* claiming we are students.
*8.* We say we are Christian men & women but *dress like hollywood stars* and we call it fashion.
*9.* We love *pleasures* rather than God.
*10.* In Church you will see us with our hands lifted up singing slow songs which we call worship but *on our phones in our pockets,* you will see pics of naked and half naked women, hip hop, Antichrist, etc and we have a nice way of justifying it.
*11.* We are hardly convicted when we go to Church because *our hearts have been hardened* by the deceitfulness of sin and pride.
But God foresaw these and warned us in 2 Timothy 3 That *In the last days men and women will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.*
We need to change our ways, we have *no excuse on judgement day. For more information visit nigeriantopsecret.blogspot.com

THIEVES IN THE SANCTUARY

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing
which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians 4:28
Read: Malachi 3:8-9
3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In
tithes and offerings. 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
MESSAGE
One sad thing going on among the children of God is that some are stealing from the sanctuary
of God and the people concerned are doing it with impunity. There are many ways a person can steal from the sanctuary of God. The most common way to almost every Bible reading Christian is when you deny God one-tenth of your income, Malachi 3:8
says: "Willa man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes
and offerings." When someone eats all his income without giving back one out of ten of it, the fellow is stealing from the sanctuary, because the tithe belongs to
the sanctuary of God. "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10
Another way of stealing from the sanctuary is by refusing to give your first-fruit to the Lord as He
requested from His covenant people in
Deuteronomy 26:2: "That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the
LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there." Some people will argue that the ordinance of the
first fruit belong to the Old Testament era. I have always asked them about the numerous promises
of God in the Old Testament which they often quote and claim to their advantage.
For example, I asked some of them who took me up on whether the promise of being "the head and
not the tail" isn't found in the New Testament. Or "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want." which is also in the Book of Matthew. The truth of the matter is that the scriptures which are favourable to the flesh are easily quoted and claimed. Those that take the steam out of their so called personal freedom and finances are
pushed to the background. The first fruit is the property of the Almighty God in His sanctuary. We must give it to Him through the the custodians of the genuine sanctuary of God. I pray for someone
using this devotional; the Holy Spirit will convince you of the truth about tithes, offerings and first
fruit.
Prayer Point:
Father, help me to abstain from stealing from your sanctuary, and help me to perform the required restitution for the damage I have done to your honour, when I denied you of your tithes,
offerings and first fruits. For more visit nigeriantopsecret.blogspot.com

DIVINE PROVISION.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
PHILIPPIANS 4 : 19.
READ : MATTHEW 17 : 24 - 27 : 24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? 25 He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of
the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? 26 Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. 27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and
thee.
MESSAGE :
Divine provision is in play when you know that what you have is not by your strength, power or
ability. For example, when you work like a rat and you get the wages of an elephant without being fraudulent, you can be sure that the blessing is from above. On the contrary, when a man works like an elephant and all he can show for his labour is the wages of a rat, you can be sure that the fellow needs divine provision. The reason for the last scenario is the fall of man which earned him a curse associated with poverty and suffering. As a matter of fact, every man, particularly a child of God, needs divine provision to be able to make ends meet. This is the reason Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, told the Church at Philippi that God will supply all their needs according to His riches in Glory through Jesus Christ, who has taken care of the sin that brought
hardship and insufficiency to the life of man. Divine provision begins with the provision God made for the atonement of our sins. God gave His only begotten Son as provision for our sins. John
3 : 16 - 17 says :
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to
condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Having settled the problem of sin, the Lord now makes available to us the abundance of His riches. The death of Jesus Christ cancelled the curse that subjected us to a life of penury and made available to us divine provision. 2
Corinthians 8 : 9 says : "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might
be rich." He demonstrated this by the thousands he fed with that incredibly small meal which He multiplied just so that the need of the people will be met. Also, in the Bible reading for today, divine provision came forth to meet His personal need and that of Peter from the mouth of a fish. I pray for someone reading this devotional today; the Almighty will cause His divine provision to come
upon you and meet you at the point of your needs
in Jesus' name.
PRAYER POINT :
Father, I present my needs to you today, please
meet them all in Jesus' name.

POSSESSED BY DEMON

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about
doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38
Read: 1 Samuel 16:14-23 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him. 16:15 And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. 16:16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is
a cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well. 16:17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and
said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the
LORD is with him. 16:19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the sheep. 16:20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul. 16:21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer. 16:22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed,
and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
MESSAGE
The use of the term "demon possessed" in the Bible is always in reference to a person operating under the influence of a demon or evil spirit. The Bible describes demons as evil, spiritual beings or
malevolent forces that are opposed to God, and are in the habit of influencing human beings to disobey God. However, demons always bow in the presence of God. If you study how demons related with Jesus Christ and His disciples in the Bible, you will observe that they recognized God's presence in Jesus Christ and His disciples and they surrendered without much argument. I have always told my children that if we have enough of His presence in us, demons will flee when they sight us, how much more when we command them to go. In Mark 5:1-6, when Jesus stepped on the shores of the Gadarenes, a very notorious; heavily demon possessed mad man immediately reported to Him even before He said a word. As a matter of fact, until you carry a higher level of His presence in your life, you may not realize the activities of the demons in your environment. Believe it or not, they are everywhere, performing their negative assignments. But as God increases His presence in your life, there will be commotion because demons recognize the presence of God
and they can't be at rest in His presence. Even in Church, while God's anointed Word is being taught powerfully, demons will not be able to withstand the power in the Word, this happened
when Jesus was teaching in the synagogue in Mark 1:21-26. One day, Paul and his co-
labourers in God's vineyard were on their way to a prayer meeting when the spirit of divination in a
young lady became restless because of God's Presence in them. If only you carry a higher level of His presence, the demons around you will manifest from wherever they are hiding. Ask God for more of His presence upon you.

Furthermore, every encounter with the Word releases a measure of Truth that sets free, and just as the level of bondage varies in the lives of the captive, so also, the dose of Truth needed to bring total liberation varies. If you can expose yourself to more and more of the Word and allow the light of God's Word to shine on you, captivity will give way and you will be free. God desires your absolute freedom (John 8:36). Yet, beyond
this, Jesus wants to empower you to set other captives free (Mark 16:17). What level of freedom are you experiencing? Everything that has taken you captive shall release you now in Jesus' name. Your deliverance shall be permanent and you shall become a means of liberation to others in
Jesus' name.
Prayer Point:
Father, please let your presence and the power of
your Word fill my life completely in Jesus’ name.

ARE YOU A GOOD SOLIDERS OF THE CROSS?

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier
of Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 2:3
Read: 2 Timothy 2:1-4
2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace
that is in Christ Jesus.
2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me
among many witnesses, the same commit thou to
faithful men, who shall be able to teach others
also.
2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good
soldier of Jesus Christ.
2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with
the affairs of this life; that he may please him
who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
MESSAGE
The word 'soldier' appears in the Bible quite
frequently, along with a number of synonymous
terms. A solider is a person involved in military
activity, one who is specially trained for war. In
Bible days, the phrase 'men who drew the sword,'
was commonly used to identify a soldier's
primary function as a combatant and to
symbolise warfare in general. Psalm 91:5-6 the bible says, Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. In This verses, the bible say something about Terrors, "Meaning Witches" .Terrors in that bible verses means the witches ready to destroy and torment people. In the other hand, the witches can also become an Angel defend you if they find you not guilty. Psalm 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. that is the Angle part of it.  Furthermore, Ephesians 6:11-17,
is a Bible reference comparing the weapons of a
fully armed Roman soldier to that of a Christian's
spiritual armour. In recruiting earthly soldiers,
some are chosen while others who are unfit are
dropped. The fact that you are born again shows
that you have scaled through the first selection
hurdle. The next thing is to prove that you are a
good soldier of Jesus Christ. Why? There are bad
soldiers of the Cross. There are many supposed
soldiers in God's army who are no better than
earthly civilians. In 1 Timothy 6:12, Paul enjoins
fellow Heavenly soldiers to fight the good fight of
faith. We have been called into a fight. It is a
fight that is based on your faith in Christ. 2
Timothy 2:4 says:
"No man that warreth entangleth himself with the
affairs of this life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier."
The chosen is also expected to be a soldier.
Therefore, if you cannot fight to resist or
terminate Satan's operation in your life, family or
church, you are a civilian not a soldier. If you
cannot fight for God's promises to be fulfilled in
your life and circumstances, you are a civilian, not
a soldier. Can you imagine a soldier who is armed
and at the battle front drops his weapons, only to
plead with fellow soldiers to assist him in
shooting at his enemies? That is a civilian
soldier! In the Christian faith, there many civilian
soldiers. If you keep relying on others to pray for
you, you are a civilian soldier. If you pay prayer
contractors to go to Prayer Mountains on your
behalf while you are asleep at home, you are a
civilian soldier.
Civilian soldiers make God nauseous. If you are a
soldier of the Cross, you must endure hardness. If
because of little trials- delayed conception, no
money, or some persecution, you decide to call it
quits with your faith in Christ, you become a
deserter, not a soldier. Soldiers are tough and
able to go through tough and difficult terrains.
What would stop civilians cannot stop soldiers.
They are armed, disciplined and operate according
to the orders of their superiors. They are faithful
to their oats to defend and kill identified enemies
of the kingdom. They fight, putting their lives on
the line. The big question that every Christian
must answer with all sincerity is, are you a soldier
of the cross, a deserter, or a civilian?
Prayer Point:
Father, I am determined to be a soldier of the
cross, please help my resolve to stand for you. For information visit nigeriantopsecret.blogspot.com

DON'T ABUSE BUHARI GOVERNMENT, OUR PROBLEM IS HOW TO MANAGE NIGERIAN ECONOMY

The economy is tight, yet people are still buying cars. People are opening new businesses. People are expanding new frontiers.
Stop complaining! Buhari is not the answer for the hour. You are the driver of your destiny. I have never seen anytime in the history of the human race when there are no hard times. Yet people made waves and affected their generation.
If you see anybody complaining, you see a frustrated lazy man or woman looking for cheap answers and solutions.

Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls.
When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there, because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet.
He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time, curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 5 years ago, when the house was first built!!!
.
*What happened?*
.
The lizard had survived in such position for 5 years!!!
In a dark wall partition for 5 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling
.
Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 5 years without moving a single inch, since its foot was nailed!
.
So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating
.
Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth.
.
Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply.
For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 5 years.
.
Imagine? It has been doing that untiringly for 5 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.
Imagine what a small creature can do, that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind cannot do.
.
Please, never abandon your loved ones. Don't turn your back on people because they are in difficulty. Don't see yourself as more intelligent or the best, You may be a bit luckier today but life for its uncertainties can change things tomorrow....
.
A Moment of negligence might break the very heart which loved you against all odds..
Before you say something just remember... It takes a moment to Break, but an entire lifetime to make....God created space within our fingers so that we can hold hands......

Be there for somebody today. For more gist visit nigeriantopsecret.blogspot. com

ARE YOU A RIGHTEOUS IDOL WORSHIPPER?

I wondered why I was in the queue of accused at all. I am intelligent, aggressive, young, totally committed to my God. What am I doing here with this sheet of supposed sins in my hand I wondered?
I don’t drink, I don't smoke, I don’t fornicate, I don’t steal, I am righteous. Others should be here not me.
It was finally my turn to face the Man.
I placed my sheet before Him, He glanced at it and sighed softly.
He looked at me and calmly said, ‘Guilty of idol worship.'
Imagine my anger, my fury, my indignation. I jumped out of the chair and said ‘Of course not! Check the sheet again, check the name, It can't be mine.’
He sighed again and mentioned one of my names that no one knows.
I would not be stopped. It's impossible’ I yelled. I worship only God, the Most High, Maker of heaven and earth, the King of kings and Lord of lords. I bow down to none, I have no talisman, no amulet, no pot underneath my bed.
‘You are guilty of idol worship’ He repeated calmly.
He looked at me, I looked at Him. It seemed like forever. The room was silent. I could hear the clock ticking.
Then slowly I understood.
I am never late for bus/train station or air flight but I am always late to church - I blinked.
My payments to services I enjoy eg:Dstv, phone bills etc, are never late but I haven’t given offerings/tithes in three months - I looked down.
When meeting one of our local chiefs last week I would not even pick a call in the presence of earthly royalty, but I WhatsApp in church
I wouldn’t interrupt my performance appraisal with my boss for anything but I missed church last week because of a series on TV
I wouldn’t let a day end without talking to my spouse but today I just said Hi God, Bye God. And I didn’t even pray last night - The room began to feel hot.
I would never miss going to the bank because of the weather but I missed fellowship on Wednesday and Friday because it was drisilling.
I would wear my party colors to party meetings and not care what anyone thought of me but I hate to talk to my workmates about God because of what they will think of me.
I always have the latest tech gadget you can think of but my bible is so worn out. I can’t even find the book of Jude in my bible anymore.
The last thing to touch before going to bed is my phone and the first thing in the morning....chating on whatapp or replying offline messages. And never bordering to talk with God or reading His word.
I felt so hot in the room, a nervous sweat on my forehead, I felt so ill and weak, all of my anger and self-righteousness was gone, leaving immense guilt in its wake.
I slowly got of the chair and knelt by His feet and said ‘I am sorry, I am guilty as charged, Guilty of idol worship, guilty of placing others; humans, technology before You. I am guilty of idol worship.’
He smiled gently, looked at me with those passionate eyes of His full of love and He gave me a fresh sheet!and said !!Deliver souls!!
Now i want you to share or inform others to alert them as i know they are not aware of what they are doing.
God bless you as you share to deliver souls with me. For more information visit nigeriantopsecret.blogspot.com
