KTQ 3 Outdoor Grill Team Challenge

The search for Nigeria’s culinary best continues and in this episode, the top 10 contestants were faced with an outdoor grill challenge at the Freedom Park, Lagos. The task was to create a fun fare day with good food and great service for 100 guests which were fans from social media & also celebrity judges

They were to create a good meal complemented by a grill item and dessert.The celebrity judges were Francis Ebie, DJ Caise, Wanawana, Noble Igwe, UcheUkonuwho were to assess the taste of the food prepared by the contestants alongside our master chefs and audience.

The contestants were divided into two (2) teams and the intriguing moment was when the contestants selected their partners through an Ingredient Matching Test. Team one comprised of Victor, Jeremy, Yemisi, OnisarotuwhileDapo, Davies, Balogun and Hauwa were members of team two.The two teams were given one hour, thirty-five minutes for the task using compulsory ingredients which included water melon, meat, melon seed popularly known as Egusi, catfish and coffee. 

While the teams were cooking, fans were given the opportunity to win vouchers from Shoprite and Total Gaz through a quiz session.

At the end of the task, the audience and judges were told to cast their votes in two separate bowls representing the two teams. After counting the votes, team two was declared winner of the task with 14 votes as against the secondteam which had 10 votes. 

The winning team was awarded, voucher from Shoprite and Total Gaz whilethe sum of twenty thousand naira was to be shared amongst the team members.

The contestants in the second team felt some level of uneasiness when Dr Roberts and Chef Fregz authorized them to pick the weakest link in the group.Yemisi was nominated as the weakest link, and this placed her on probation.
