warned him never to play for any other country except Nigeria

Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike buried his late dad today, Friday, June 19.

Emenike's father was buried at their home town in Imo State.
Several high profile friends of the former Spartak Moscow player like pop star Kcee, were in attendace.
The late Pa Felix Ndukwu Emenike is the person the striker owes his football career to.
In a recent interview, Emenike revealed that his late father, convinced him to join the Super Eagles.
"I
will miss my father for his advice. He was the one who compelled me to
play for Nigeria as he warned me not to honour invitation to play for
any country no matter what," Emenike is quoted to say be several reports.
"He
told me I will be great, and after the AFCON 2013, he asked me if I
regretted playing for Nigeria, I just smiled and said 'no'.
"He always showed me the right way, and I have never regretted any of his advice.
"This is a man who has seen a brighter future for me and he always told me, my life begins after football.
