Nigeria Wins African Youth Championship Again

Nigeria wins the African Youth Championship for the seventh time after beating the competition host, Senegal 1-0 in the finals – A match which was held at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium, Dakar on Sunday.

The two sides first met at the group stage, an encounter which saw the Flying Eagles beat the Young Lions 3-1, before meeting again at the final.
Nigeria’s captain Musa Muhammed won the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Highest Goal Scorer’s awards after he scored four goals.
