‘God is not Afraid of New Things’ – Pope Francis on Divorce and Homosexuality

pope
There has been lots of debate around the world, whether or not gay people should be given freedom to express themselves in Society, and even in the church, well Pope Francis yesterday called on the church to adapt to ‘changing conditions of society’ following a conference that rejected changes that would have softened the church’s stance toward homosexuality and divorce.

In a bid to make liberal reforms to church doctrines, Pope Francis, had asked Bishops to discuss the contentious issues ( such as gays, divorced and remarried cathoilics) in an ‘open way’, also mentioning that ‘God is not afraid of new things’.
The bid, however fell short of the two thirds majority which would have opened the way for Catholics who are divorced and remarried to receive communion, the central sacrament of the church, and a change in the attitude of the church towards Gay persons.
According to the document;
‘No grounds whatsoever exist for assimilating or drawing analogies, however remote, between homosexual unions and God’s design for matrimony and the family, – The church does not recognise divorce so remarried Catholics are regarded as adulterers’.
Eyah!!! What do you think?
